As a BB in TKD and nearly a BB in Hapkido (plus 10 years in MT), my opinion is Hapkido is better for self defence than TKD and adding TKD to Hapkido would NOT make it better in any way.
You will have your opinion and there is nothing wrong with that.
WildWest u seem to be causing alot of trouble with everyone here. And thankyou Lindz thankyou for your compliment earlier.
WildWest thankyou for telling every1 ur martial Arts backround, im sure we all love to know how talented u are and well all loved reading it.
Regarding your opinion about implementing Tae kwon do to hapkido. Is somthng that will not make it better in anyway.
Wildwest i respect ur opinion and im sure its more suited to urself.
From my experiences in Jeet kune do I truly Bruce Lees Philosophy Using no way as way. Using no Limitation as a Limitation. and tae kwon do for me works fine
That is my opinion and like u said there is nathing wrong with that.

Anytime.
Maybe it's ITF, but at my old school they did a lot more "grabbling" with self defense, and hapkido moves. But I haven't seen it with WTF, and it was amazing...
I don't know if it is ITF, or if the instructor combined TKD with HKD...

I wasn't trying to cause trouble, I just wanted to clear a few things up regarding your original post, and find out where you stood on the matter about why HKD would want to be controlled by a TKD organisation. You in turn called me a dickhead. I never intended to insult you so why insult me?

This is a totally ridiculous comment. Mentioning my MA background was only to advise you that I wasn't someone with no idea about Korean MA's. Whatever you read into it is not my problem.

Despite your grammer (no insult intended), this is finally something along the lines of the debate I was after. You haven't answered why HKD would want to be run by a TKD organisation but that doesn't really matter as it's unlikely I'll get an answer anyway.
You stick to what you believe works for you, I wasn't arguing which styles are better or whatever anyway. Good luck to you and to anybody I caused trouble to.
