    Tae kwon do has some powerful kicks. In this video, a TKD kid lands an explosive spinning wheel kick to his opponents head.

        Taebo's billy blanks gets KOd by a hook kick. He was a decent full contact karateka before the Taebo craze.

        Speaking of the hook kick, I believe Bill Superfoot Wallace was able to throw one at 60 miles per hour...

          Ooh.
          Saw this one a good few years ago.
          He should have seen that coming a good few years earlier too.

            Spinning Wheel kick KO in............a SAMBO match?

            Blue fighter uses the spinning wheel kick to cut off the ring against the side stepping Red fighter. Good set up with the thai kick before hand to get him moving in the opposite direction. Nice.

              Bit silly this one, but interesting in many ways;

                  I'm beginning to wonder if 'falling over' helps the kick;

                    I don't think its intentional. Falling over is a silly thing to do in any fight; even TKD stylists would never fall over just to land a spinning wheel kick.

                      From my 'tourney' days, ITF certainly deducted points for 'loss of balance'.
                      Is that the case in WTF and ATA?

                        In Kyokushinkai Karate there is a spinning technique that is done while falling down. I can't remember the name of the technique but it is essentially a spinning heel kick that strikes downward. If you watch the bare knuckle karate tournaments from japan you'll see it on occasion.

                        I know that the ITF has a few techniques that are done while falling but you generally won't see those in competition.

                          Like and axe kick? Sounds devastating if you can land it...

                              You actually shouldn't fall whilst doing an axe kick, you lose that extra power from the pulling down of the leg, back spinning axe kick or otherwise.
