Hi all,
I have seen many many people training for self defence from a guard or some sort and a pre detirmined stance - whether this is a boxing style guard and stance or a tai chi one.
In both schools i train at - (TJJ, and internal chinese) we train for self defence from no guard or pre determined stance and deal with the attack from a natural or normal standing position. I think that this prepares you far better for sudden violence on the streets.
Just wondered how you train for sudden violence - if at all - and what your thoughts are on training from stance or without stance?
Cheers
Chris
