It's what i call a beanie. One of the kids there is really ticking me off. Whenever he crossfaces me, he aims his forearm bone right in my eyes so it digs right into it. I have to worry about my contacts and the fact that I might be blinded for life.

I usually don't go crazy unless it's in a match. But should i start doing that every time i go against someone from now on?
In one of the other threads, someone talked about takedown combinations, anybody have some basic ones a newb here can try?

I have already posted many. the concept is simple you push he moves forward or back and vice versa. So yo lock up push the head to the side, maybe he moves a step forward or back single leg, fireman's carry, ankle pick ect
If the tDs suck or are not being practiced that is a problem and doen't say much for your coach. I would by some of teh tapes or books suggested many posts back.
Also, what is a normal practice for you what is your coach practicing/reviewing

Originally posted by jubajiIf your opponent crosses his own feet, he is a fish and you are going to win in a few minutes anyway. However, it is a good idea to lead your opponent in order to 'make' him step with the left or right foot when you want. If you circle to your left and he steps with his left in reaction, well there is a single to his left leg that is now isolated and bearing weight. Most folks are gonna be hip to this though so you need to be a bit creative in how you go about it.
That's why I've been trying to mix everything together, a good combo of walking, tapping the tops of hands, stiff arming their heads to see where they plant their feet, etc.

I can't believe it, I'm afraid to shoot. Should I correct myself by going on offence(shooting no matter if I'm freaked out if It might work or not)? Also, Should I have both knees on the ground when i shoot in or just kneel on one leg instead?

You have to work it out in teh wrestling room nott in a match that's for sure. You are scared to shoot why, not comfortable with your skill sacred of teh cross face? etc. Ultamitely, you have to train keep forcing yourself to shoot.
But honestly, what is your coach teaching you??
