--Tank Abbott was on Jimmy Kimmel last night plugging the 11/21 UFC fight against Wes "Cabbage" Correira. He claimed UFC only had two rules when it started, but now has 30 rules, which he claimed were all because of him. He said you really learn how to fight in street fights, claiming more than 200 of them. Said he liked pro wrestling (he must have loved the money) but he didn't enjoy it as much as real fighting because of predetermined endings. He could use some predetermined endings right about now. He said he could beat Mike Tyson in a street fight, as could just about everyone in the UFC. (thanks to Chris Najdek)

Tyson is not only much stronger, faster, more skilled, etc. than Tank Abbot, but he used to be a mugger. He's not stranger to a street fight.

While street fighting certainly worked for tank, it probably has a shitload to do with his size. No little guy can learn to fight on the street without taking a shitload of damage.

Not to mention that you can get arrested, thrown in prison, and generally **** up your life. While being a complete wanker to the people you're fighting.

I'd rather be like Vitor than Tank, thank you very much.

I have had a couple of street fights, but none since I started martial arts. I would never start one.
