Originally posted by spiderchoke I thought I remembered reading somewhere that Tommy Lee was beating Pamela Anderson. That is fighting. Apparently both of them can fight.
What abour Stallone. I don't think you get a nose like that with out getting hit in it a few times.
Good point about the noses. After I thought about it, I bet Harrison Ford can throw down too He's got quite the crooked schnoz.
Sylvester Stallone actually was a little hard @ss punk who was always figting and getting into trouble, so that holds up too. He was voted by his school "most likely to get the electric chair".
You know what I think....I think Eddie Murphy needs a good ass-whooping. I heard him talking about how SS couldn't really box, I'd like to see the match SS would kick his @$$.
Vin Diesel - BJJ purple belt. Can kick a lot of ass
Ed O'Neill - BJJ purple belt under Royce Gracie. Al bundy can open up a can of whoop ass.
Sammo Hung - Fat boy with good moves
Bolo Yeung - Big boy. Can probably fight.
Steven Segal - Beat up Rigan Machado in Under Siege 2 and won a knife fight against Dan Inosanto. Nuff said, LOL!!! Actually, when the blackmail tapes were played in court the mafia guys were laughing at how scared he was.
Bolo starred in Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee, so he's got some movie history behind him. He also acted in Double Impact, with Jean Claude Van Dancer and has made more movies, such as Shootfighter: Fight to the Death. Bolo studied under many kung fu masters and also learnt acrobatics and started weight training. He eventually became a mainland China power-lifting champion too.
It sucks that in Enter the Dragon he gets his ass killed by John Saxon, instead of Bruce Lee...
I don't really see the corrolation between actors and being able to fight. Some actors can, some can't, some fake it, some are good at what they do, really can't tell unless you know them personally.
Frankly, I am more concerned with "Can Dentists Fight?!?" Can you imagine, a flying root canal, a mounted cavity filling...
I think that Wesley Snipes is a much under-rated Martial Artist, don't know whether he could fight IRL or not but would suspect that he could, apparently he is well trained in Capoeira (spell),
great to watch though.......
The question of actors and their fighting abilities is if people think/believe that various actor's tough guy personas actually translate into real life.
Let's take a look at Steven Segal. Looks like a real BADASS on film BUT he said on one of his films that he can't get choked out. Well...Gene Labelle was on the set that day and after a little grappling Gene not only choked him out...he also made Segal lose the contents of his bowel and bladder, LOL!!! Doesn't make for a very tough guy image now does it.
Another example is Van Damme getting knocked out by a bouncer in a club.
There is also Jesse "the body" Ventura. Looks like a BADASS and well also happens to be a BADASS.
