Whiping the deer out eh?Yup I drove 419 miles to Uvalde to go deer hunting.I killed a doe or what I thought was one.I saw lots of 8-points but to small to kill.Anyway,I fell asleep 2 times in the stand before the doe walked out.I sat there and watched, then BAM! I made a perfect heart shot.So I get up there and it has toothpicks sticking out of its head! It was a freak deer! I had to put a buck tag on what I thought was a doe! Oh the humility!

Maybe you could explain to me the thrill of taking a high powered gun and shooting an extremly peacefull animal that has done nothing wrong and is just trying to live out its life. Sport? ya right. For the meat? Suuuure. I can understand the primal thrill of the hunt but only if they can shoot back. Then at least its fair and not murder. Ive lived around hunters my whole life and went once and sighted up a doe of all things and would have shot my partner who brought me out there before i could have shot that beautifull animal. Why not just go to the mid-east or northern Ireland i hear theres lots of "real' "sport" there. At least you could justify it by saying there were shooting at me, not standing in a medow feeding thinking of the brutal humans who for no reason they can understand are trying to kill them...just curious

Dont forget,I hide out in a deer stand, wait until a deer comes up to the feeder, and I use cover scents along with deer calls. My weapon of choice-243 Remington.Bullets-Fedral.

                  Ninjagod

If a wolf or a bear can go out in the woods and kill a deer and eat it so can I. And if I had claws and teeth like a bear I'd use them to hunt but I don't so I use a bow. You can't tell me there is no sport to bow hunting because I've been bow hunting plenty of times and never killed a deer because it's not easy. You try sneaking up on animal that spends 90 percent of it's time being paranoid.

Well Ninjagod, I hope to hell you are a vegetarian. Because if you think buying your meat from the butcher is more civil than shooting it, you've never been to a slaughterhouse. Does the word anal electrocution mean anything to you? Ever seen a slitting machine? not pretty.

Deer and rabbits are fine guys, but you HAVE TO GO BULLFROG HUNTING!!!!!!! Tape a flashlight to a .22 and hang out in your local pond. You will have the time of your life!!!

Hope you had some luck out there.Texas and California seem to have all the instruction available to them.Must be the sunshine.
I never display an animal on the way home .Just stick it in the back and cover it.
That way you dont get the anti hunting people upset.

I think you've all got your morals pretty mixed up. I don't believe in murdering any living creatures. I eat meat, but after it's already been prepared and cooked. It's the murdering part I don't like. Once they're already dead, I might as well do them a favor and make use of em.

Like I said, Biz, if a wolf can do it so can I. When a wolf kills is it murder? Is the wolf immoral or does it just not know any better? Why do we have pointy teeth if not for tearing flesh? They aren't very good for opening beer bottles. See death is a rough, un-pretty thing that is so much of an unknown it scares people. So they like to pretend that it's WRONG, they choose to live in a fantasy land where nobody dies or gets hurt, they picture a future utopia, if only people could get their morals straightened out. THAT'S BULLSHIT. The world is and always will be a violent place. You cannot understand death (which is as much a part of life as anything) or violence if you just like to pretend it will or should go away. The only way to understand it is to no reject it offhand, but just the opposite, take it in and let it become a part of you. Only then can it be understood and only then can it be transcended for you cannot transcend something you don't understand.

My mom doesn't understand why I'm into martial arts, she says it's violent. Well isn't violence immoral? But she doesn't understand because she hasn't taken the time to understand. She's another one of those people who thinks if she is opposed to it and pretends it doesn't exist that it's not a problem. What a crock.

You eat the stuff but just because your finger isn't on the trigger that makes you a moral person Biz? Your logic is inherently flawed, IMHO.

Jesus dude if you have pointy teeth get to a *****ng dentist you must look horrible. Yes i am a vegitarian. Have been for 25 years. When a wolf kills it does as nature dictates, when you kill it is of free will. Now before anyone thinks im a flower chlid or something i tend more towards earth first/peta. Im not a real pacifist when it come to humans who seem to act in dumbassed ways. Bow hunting is still shooting an animal who is not participating of its own free will. Now if you went at it hand to hand at least i could respect your balls. And yes i went to a slaughter house when i was 19. I forced myself to go. It was the last day i ate meat. And of course if a wolf or bear goes into the woods and hunt so can you. But yours carries a price. For evey action their is an equal and opposite (not different) reaction. For all the suffering you cause guess what comes back to you. Stick with real sport. Man on man. Leave hunting to those beasts with out the intelligence to know better.
P.S. Dan i still want to come work out. Dont take this personally hehe John
