san su, san da and san shou all mean free fighting, usually with san da rules (boxing, kicking to legs/head, knees and throws)....what style they were originally might have an inffluence on what they favor.

Someone with a southern fist style will prefer close range boxing and throwing, while someone with a northern fist style will prefer long range punching and kicking.

San da is pretty cool, but has had bad timing in the US. If it would have been around the time of the kung fu craze of the 70's, the US kickboxing champs might have done better against the Thais

Liu hailong is the King of Kings? Did he beat Jesus for the title or did Jesus retire from the ring?

I would not consider sanda kung fu. It has no kung fu in it all it is, is a mix of muay thai, judo, and wrestling. None of it has to do with longfist or anything like that.

                            qoute "is too kung fu"
Everytime I say that sanda is kung fu to a tradtional kung fu guy they get kind of mad and say there is no kung fu in it. Which I kinda agree it is pretty much muay thai, judo, and wrestling combined. In my opinion it is not really kung fu.
