I'm not really interested in wrestling. I'm a tall skinny guy with not a lot of strength, but I am very quick and have good reflexes, and long arms and legs. So I think an art that teaches mostly punching and kicking would be better for someone like me, am I right? I was thinking of Muay Thai, but I don't know if the city I move to will have a school that teaches it.

Wrestling, grappling in general, is about technique and balance as much, or more, then strength. A good grappler can easily beat a much bigger opponent who is not trained. And it's available to you, where Muay Thai is not right now.

Even with a good striking background, you should at least be somewhat prepared when someone lunges in and tackles you. Learning a year or two of wrestling will help alot there. Even if it's only to learn how to escape the ground and good take down defense.

This is completely off topic, but you really need to pay some attention to spelling! How old are you? If you are still in school, there must be someone who can help you. No one is perfect (I have my share of errors as well), but I have noticed that you are consistently bad. This is not intended as an insult.

You could be a great wrestler! Not every wrestler looks like me (fire hydrant)

People of varying body types do well in wrestling if they understand their strengths and weaknesses.

Royce Gracie was also a tall, skinny guy.

A good martial arts instructor will work around your body type. You can be a good boxer regardless of your build and height. You can be a good grappler regardless of your build and height. It 's all about learning to make it work for you.

There was a kid who only had stubs for arms and stubs for legs. He is one of the best wrestlers in his division in high school. Point of story: don't use your body as an excuse.

But yeah.... Muay Thai is great. Never heard anyone complain about it.

Sixteen would seem to be a time to at least know how to spell, don't you think? Or, how long were you planning to wait?

Hmm while this is really tempting to make fun of you But assuming you are serious being in special education...I won't. Special Ed is usually bad, however if you have some deficiets you should address them and learn on your own. Regarding your spelling it really is bad. writing or copying the text in WORD and using spell check would help or maybe just taking your time and re-reading your post. Everyone mistypes (I certainly do alot) but remember you are trying to communicate and it is easy to loose ppl also there are ppl on this forum that are not from english speaking countries

Where was the insult? Didn't you say yourself that you don't spell very well? Is it your intention to leave this condition unchanged forever?

And yet you got quite upset when I suggested that you attempt to do so.

How is that an insult? Do you disagree? A sixteen year old should not be expected to know how to spell? As far as the implication that you are stupid, you introduced that idea, not me.

And if you insulted me, I missed it. Sorry.
