Colonie: Glad to hear your reply: First of all, as to my boxing experience, I have trained w/ Durango for about 6 months. I have sparred against him, with an amatuer we have who is 2 and one, and with another student he has who is one of the best boxers I have seen. His name is john, I think, and he is a police officer. Not sure how he has done in competetion, or even is he competes.

I will not say how I have fared against these people, but I will repeat what Durango (Peter Allindo)says about me. Peter was trained by Cus D'matto and was in his camp at the same time as Tyson. Peter was a very succussful pro- boxer whos career was derailed by an eating disoprder. Nonetheless he won many, many amatuer titles and over 25 professional bouts. Peter is pushing me to fight in the Albany tough man contest, and claims that I would win it based upon the competition he has seen. In fact, Peter has offered to bring in an ex sparring partner of Tyson's who has seen me spar and work the focus mitts, and this former sparring partner of Tyson's also thinks I can win.

What do I think? I think that 1: They are blowing wind up my sails, and that I am just a tough tomatoe can who punches very hard. 2: However, the the tough man is a contest primarily for tomatoe cans and this is why they think I can win. Nonetheless, I have enough experience to say that boxers, even very good ones would never beat a well trained grappler bereft of at least one year of intensive grappling training. And as you noted, there is absolutely no financial incentive for them to undergo this training.

In regard to the lack of boxers in MMA, actually there have been some. My favorite is Don Fry, a golden gloves boxer who also happens to be a world class wrestler. Also, there is Laverne Clark, an abverage pro-boxer, but he also wrestled for abpout 8 years. As for Vitor, I think that he has marvelous hand skills, and could have made a great boxer if his boxing had been purely for the ring, and not MMA. Also, and I mean him no disrespect, Vitor has not always shown a great fighting spirit.

The fact is, that unless you train intensively, and for a long period, it is very unlikely that you will develop the sprawling and other defensive techniques necessary to stave off a good take down artist. I wrestled for 4 years, and I beleive that it takes longer to develop takedown skills than either punching or groundfighting skills.

Another very important fact is that grapplers train to take down stand up fighters, whereas stand up fighters as a general rule seem to have a genetic inability to believe that a grappler will take them down. My friend, you seem to be afflicted with this genetic predisposition. As I said, I like you, I wish you no ill will, but I desire to disabuse you of this notion. Yes, the offer (not challenge) I issued you was friendly. It will be designed to be as friendly and safe as possible, yet also realistic. You wear gloves (12 ouncers, I won't punch or kick above the waist, nor will I slam you, I will simply take you down, or at least try.

In regards to the escalation between you and Jay, please stop it, both of you. I will, however, tell you a little bit about Jay. Yes, he is the ex-marine covered w/ tattoes. Jay also was given his blue belt by Renzo after only 5 months of training (6 days a week). Jay won the National Taekwondo Championship (which translates , in my opinion to about 6 months of boxing skills, lol) but he also trained in Kyokushin w/ Mike Rosette for 6 years. Unlike most other styles of Karate, Kyokoshin is no joke (a Kyokushin guy was responsible for the steel plates currently residing in my head, which is why I study it when I get the chance). My advice is not to **** with him. Conversely, I also beleive that he should not be calling you names over the internet.

Again, please understand that my ultimate goal is to bring you back into the fold of Jui-jitsu, where your boxing skills will still be highly valued, but placed in their proper perspective. Good luck in your upcoming competition, and hope to see you at our dojo soon.

        Sincerely, Sean

Good to hear from you too Sean. I think you know your shit about NHB and fighting in general. You seem like a good guy and after my next fight if you ever wanna spar I'd be more than happy too. Basically, if you're in shape, you should win the toughman. Not to knock guys who fight in toughman, but most of them are just weekend warriors. If you stick with Durango, you'll be just fine and maybe even win it. I always thought you were a strong grappler and maybe if you got some free time we can roll again. I'd like to bullshit with you longer, but I'm on my way out the door.

As for your buddy Jay, please beleive me, this is of no offense to you and I don't mean to sound like a hardass but I could give a good shit about all his tattoos, his karate, his BJJ, his this, his that, and I could really give a rats ass that he's a marine. All of that means nothing to me. Nothing. It's not how much you know, it's how much heart you got. Can he take a punch? Is he willing to kill someone in a fight? Is he willing to die himself? Those are questions you should be asking not 'What belt is he?'. Up until today I had NO PROBLEM whatsoever with Jay or any of the guys from Nick Sanzo's. In fact I thought Jay was pretty cool and I learned some cool shit from him. Than for some reason or another, he decided to come on here and verbally bash me. I can't figure it out. But I also don't give a shit. Why he did it is not important, but he did it. I know I talk some smack sometimes and let my temper and ego get the better of me at times but I try to be a humble person as best I can. I feel that if Jay ever had a beef with me for whatever reason, he should've confronted me at Nicks. Plain and simple. I have no plans on challenging Jay and I have no desire to try to call him out. But if someone pushes me too far, I gotta retaliate. I won't take his shit or anyone elses. I appreciate you trying to 'save' me from Jay, but it is unnecessary. Anyway, have a good day.

                  Hey Jim,

I didn't bash you until you told me to shut the **** up. but if your so curious on how I fight I'll be more than glad to show you. And actuall I never had a beef with you at jiu jitsu if you remember offered to train with you outside the school because we were both interested in NHB. you didnt piss me off until you told me to shut the **** up. SO if you want to settle this it's up to you. I know what i capable of. If you remember I always helped you and the kid you came to the school with. So whatever bro. Have a nice day and if you ever want to train at all just let me know.

                    This sh!t is freaking hilarious!

Yes, I am instigating. I could beat all your asses, without even really trying. Except for BIG BIRD. With him I would have to try, a little.

Ryu, your latest sig is the best yet. Totally cool.

Jim: Good luck in your fight on the 16th. Actually, I would like to come and watch. Is it going to be in the PAL gym off of Central Ave? It think Durango may have a couple of guys fighting in that event. What weight are u fighting at?

Jay, I'm not gonna keep carrying this on. This is stupid. You said you would be more than happy to show me how you fight, well, if you're so interested I could show you how I fight as well. You say it's up to me, well I say it's up to you. You say you know what you are capable of, well I know what I am capable of too. Like I said before, I have no plans on getting into stupid internet challenges so I'm not gonna talk any more shit about this stupid thing but if you wanted to settle this, that would be your call not mine. And as far as you wanting to train for NHB sometime, I would but my schedule is basically boxing, lifting, work, sleep. If you are serious about fighting NHB in the UFC or anywhere else, I highly suggest you do some type of boxing sparring. It'll help your standup and it will test if you have a chin or not. I don't know how good your chin is, have you ever been tagged in the face on the street? If not I would spar a couple months before you fight competitively . It would only help you . If you want to spar (boxing) sometime let me know. It will have to be after Christmas though.

Sean, I am fighting at Ravena High School and I am fighting at heavyweight (179-201). I should do alright. Losing hasn't even entered my mind. I would still one day like to train at Nicks but the only thing I didnt like there was the lack of practice of takedowns. The rest was cool though. I also wanna fight NHB after my boxing career. But I am trying to get my other priorities in life starightened out.

As for Big Bird, how did I get punked? The only punk on this board is you. You act like such a boxing legend, like I said before you aint nothing but a wannabe gym rat SOB. I'll tell you what why don't you get up to 178 and we can fight this summer after the Empire State Games. Can you get your geeky ass up to 178? If so, we will fight 3-3minute rounds and I will hand you your internet-thug ass on a silver platter. You're the only goof I know that is 23 years old and say's "he is burned out". What a ****ing faggott!

                          CC:

Keep this up with BIG BIRD and you're going to get bitch-slapped. You're not ready for him. You may never be.

While you're at it, why don't you fly to Italy and spit in Underdog's face? I hear that's a really good idea...

"Toss his salad?" Did you learn that from your boyfriend, Mike Tyson?

BIG BIRD is my friend, and his credentials speak for themselves. He also has a bad temper, and lots of Muay Thai and BJJ experience. If you're looking for an epic ass-beating, by all means keep running your mouth.

I'm just thinking of you here, Colon-Muncher.
