My friend, we should be careful what we wish for.
Sometimes we don't know what we have until it's gone....

        Actually it has.
Well right now I am up to my neck in college work.
I broke up with my girlfriend of 2 years whom I always used to talk about, I am dating again, etc. etc.
Trying to keep up with my training, and working on some personal writing projects and such

        How are you?

                  Gargoyle,

Well I very much love heroism, and such as everyone knows.
And for about 5 years I have been playing with a rather large fiction story that deals with the aspects I enjoy so much. It's basically a sci-fi/fantasy type setting, but is pretty deep, and deals with things like the existence of "God", Good and evil, the dangers of moral relativism, etc. But the issues are masked in a adventurous story about an ideal, rookie mercenary who falls in love with a village girl (who happens to be the daughter of a resistence group leader). They work together to bring down a corporation that is monopolizing large portions of the land, and has thrown everyone into a war. The background to all of this is something called "Giyra" serum that everyone seems to want to get their hands on. Supposedly it contains the same essential materials that existed when the "creation" of their universe took place, and is rumored to possess a great deal of workable power. It's, interestingly enough, called "The Blood of God" by some.

The story is set in 5 parts, each part being about 200 pages long or so. The whole series is called The Giyra Wars, and I have finally just gotten a copyright on it.

It's nothing right now, but hopefully I might be able to see it made into something special. Just a dream right now though.

Hmmm I wrote quite a bit LOL you probably didn't want to hear my life's story, but I get kind of excited talking about the story.

                  Take care,
                  Ryu

Hey, I think what you've done is awesome! Good for you! Idealism I'll take over cynicism any day. What is your next step? Do you have an agent to represent you? Are you going to submit it to one of the more popular publishing houses?
