What kind of matchups do you like to see the most?

I like to see two great strikers go out it, no matter what style they are.

To see the various strikes, blocks, manuevers, and of different striking styles can be exciting and dramatic such as in K-1 and professional Boxing(WBC, WBA, IBF, etc.)

Here are some of my favorite combinations

A. Boxing-Muay Thai
B. Muay Thai-Kickboxing
C. Kung Fu-Karate

2. Great striker against a great grappler.

True, one has an advantage over the other in each respect, but it also tests the skill of a fighters in their ability to handle and counter another fighter in a style that is completely different from their own.

boxing master, I see your point.

But do you not find that for the most part they cancel each other out?

I prefer two completely different styles in combat.

like the first ufc, when they'd be say a ;
boxer v jui jitsu
or karate v wrestler
or kung fu v judo.

I find the different approaches and how the techniques conflict fascinating.

You can see how it works in a street fight against someone who has no idea of your style.

Its great seeing, say, a boxer (master boxers excepted),
taken to the ground and watch him like a fish out of water!

Now days most people who compete cross-train so these fights are rare!
