You can really tell a difference between "martial artist" and "fighters" by reading this forum compared to the budo seek and totalsurf forums. So many of the posts here are just attacks between two intermediate fighters who are all talk, perhaps sleevsleep and What's inside a girl? are different character attributes of the same guy, perhaps we will never know. Maybe one day you magazine martial artist will grow up and represent the MA community like you should. No offense to anyone, I very well could be wrong, and I don't know or care if I can beat anyones ass.Comment

I hear what you're saying. I have been doing damage-control with my instructor today for some of the remarks I made to Tez last night. I am not proud of losing my temper, but neither do I think I should be expected to take comments about my love-life lying down. You shouldn't say something on-line that you wouldn't say to someone's face. In fact, some comments are regarded by the law as being a "first punch" in the sense that they are intended to trigger a violent response. For instance, if I called you a racial epithet to your face (I don't know your ancestry), you would have justification in slugging me. However, I personally would never do such a thing, and not just because you would hit me.
I think there are lines of acceptable behavior which should not be crossed. Some people have more anger than others, and right now I have more than my share. It's all very well to say "sticks and stones" when you're not the one being attacked. Sometimes, words hurt, and are calculated to hurt. In the old days people fought duels to the death over sometimes trivial insults. Now we're all supposed to be "enlightened"? I'm sorry, but people haven't changed that much since the days when Vice-president Aaron Burr killed Alexander Hamilton over an insult. I'm not threatening to kill anyone, but sometimes it is difficult to "rise above" a sitution when someone is blatantly insulting you.
I have represented the martial arts well my entire life. I can't speak for Tez. Other than this one incident, I know very little about him.Comment

Earlier Ronin mistook my words for someone else and launched a thread based on tearing me to pieces (the psychoanalysis thread). I took a stab back, at which point he said he would kick my ass if we ever came face to face. He even went as far as to say how he would kick my ass, which is pretty funny because he doesn't know me from Joe Blow. The whole thing is a goddam joke.Comment

Yes, I predicted how a fight between the two of us would go down if it ever happened. We do things like that all the time! You seemed good to go until you found out I have more stand-up than you. All I was saying is that you would never say anything like that to my face. I don't think you would...you don't seem like a fighter in real life. Actually, neither am I, but then again people don't go around commenting on my love-life in real life either.
Don't worry "Tez", or whoever you are. You win. I am the one leaving the Forum, not you. At least I have the self-awareness to realize when my presence is poisonous to those around me.Comment

And you seemed good to go until I mentioned I fly to the U.S. on a regular basis. BTW You better hope your standup is excellent; I have a good ground game and I fight Vale Tudo with my buddies on a regular basis. In Yorkshire we don't start fights, we just finish 'em.
