  • My first Knock out.

I KO'ed someone last week during sparring class. The guy I was fighting was 5'7, so he only had an inch on me. When we were fighting I noticed he kept his hands down alot. So when he stepped foward, I let loose with a left roundhouse to the head. The kick got his right on the jaw and a bit below his ear. I had enough control though to reduce my power before the impact so I wouldnt hurt him. He fell down anyway and he was out. I sort of felt bad but proud at the same time. After he regained consciousness, I said sorry then all of a sudden he ran to the bathroom and barfed. God I felt even worse now. But I called him up today and he said that he was fine.

As I look back on this, I find it it weird that he got knocked out because I did pull back ALOT on the kick. Does anyone else have their first KO or KO stories? I wouild like to hear about them.

hey dude, I wouldn't be telling people that I KO'd an old guy.

Damn, that's cool that a guy that is 57 years old is still training.

57???? Damn dude. You could have gone low and just kicked his walker out from under him, but NOOOOOOO you had to go for the flashy head kick!

I know a lot of 57-year-olds who could kick my ass.

I think that he meant 5 foot 7 inches, not 57 years of age.

Oh wait, my bad. You meant he was 5 foot seven inches tall not 57 years old. I’m not sure which is more despicable, abusing the elderly or cruelty to midgets.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go pull the wings off a fly.

The destructive path of our society..

You see, that's the problem with our society. Instead of respecting and learning from their elders, our youth tend to beat up on the old farts.

What's even worse, they even brag about it as tiger has done.

I only have one comment about this: Sweep, buy a gun and soon. HA!

I understand the double feeling of "Oh, I'm sorry to knock you out" and "Cool I can knock somebody out". It's good to hear about a fellow TKD guy proving that under the right circumstances and with skill, head kicking can work.

                        KeithWuS:

Why are you asking me to buy a gun?

Do you want me to shoot you when I see you?

Well, to let you know, I have a collection.

And I always carry for work.

My pleasure yella. I once hit a sparring partner with a left hook that brought him to his knees (probably not on accident on a subconsious level I'm sorry to say)- I literally had to catch him from hitting the floor. It's good to know what you're capable of.

What tkd skills do you think are going to remain a part of your MMA repetoire? I've read that Eric Paulson has TKD experience and all of the guys I grapple with have done TKD at some point in time. What part of your game will TKD be?
