We're officially opened!
Welcome back everyone. I'm sure some of you had some doubts on whether or not this forum would return. It'll be coming back stronger than ever. Within the next couple months you'll see some additional improvements made to the forum.
In the last month I've been tortured trying to get this back online. I was initially shutdown due to excessive cpu usage. I then moved to a dedicated server, spent several days configuring the new server and setting up the site. Everything was ready and then the hard drive crashed on the server. I then moved the site to a new server and went through the whole ordeal again. That server didn't have enough juice and kept crashing while running a test forum so I had to move again. After moving to the third server someone hijacked the ip address for the DNS and I had to get that straightened out. Basically, everything that could go wrong did!
Now the site is hosted on a powerful dedicated server...dual processors, 18 GB hard drive and 1 GB or ram....this should keep the forum running quickly.
Many of the former members will have to register again as most of the database got corrupted on the move. If you're really, really upset about losing your status based on posts, let me know approximately how many posts you had before the crash and I'll restore your original number.
Please help spread the word about this forum being opened again. The new url for the forum is http://defend.net/deluxeforums/index.php
