  • Ok bros....need some help!

I'm a total noobie when it comes to martial arts. I've been into bodybuilding for 6 years now and i'd like to learn some fighting skills. My problem is, there's not many places that teach where i live. I was looking for some advice on where to start. This is one place that's close to me. If you could take a look at this link and give me your opinion, that would be great!

veritas-services.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, veritas-services.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

BTW... if this is the wrong forum, sorry about that.

    Thanks bros

this school looks pretty cool. 65 bux a month is pretty cheap too compared to most schools. from the info on the site, it looks like u will learn alot of cool stuff. i say go there and check it out for urself, and talk to the head instrucor and see if u like the place. looks like a cool place though. i give it a thumbs up.

If you are a advanced bodybuilder, you most likely to get bored with this club.
The guy is an Aikido Instructor.
      However give it a go.
I am sure one you enter the MA circle, you will find something more appropriate to your physical needs.

        2 words: FIGHT CLUB.

Get some like minded friends to learn from and spar with. Gets some good tapes and take your lumps.

Or just drop-in on all the dojos in your area and actually see what they do. Most will give you a free try.

            2 more words: BAD ADVICE

Don't listen to that crap. Go learn something first, then go beat each other silly.

If you just want pain for nothing, go fall in love.

You and your friends getting together to fight before any of you know anything makes about as much sense as buying Stevie Wonder a telescope for his birthday.

i agree with ronson. go figure it out for yourself. don't get swindled into thinking martial arts are good for your fighting needs. beat the shit out of your friends. i absolutely agree with this suggestion.

I was just half-joking about the fight club thing. Notice EViLRYU is actually looking to learn some FIGHTING SKILLS. No where in his thread does he ask about Martial Arts. Quite cheeky if you ask me since most MA's out there is Bullshido anyways. If you want to learn or improve your fighting skills, ultimately you'll have to actually fight - make your bones so to speak. And why not learn with friends (what makes a self-promoted, fat-ass blackbelt more qualified)? At least they're more likely to show and tell each other things like it is than some sven-gali (sp?) type blowing sunshine up your ash.

So plan A: Find a good school - try 'em all out
plan B: Make do and take the initiative

Yeah, getting into brawls may be a part of life exprience, but as training advice it's just stupid.

Just kidding around! (and trying to divert this stupid 'go beat up your friends' subject).
