Anyone ever train under Jim Arvantis or any other Pankration instructor. If so what did you think? How effective was it? Also can anyone list any good pankration fighters competing in NHB? So far I have found out Jim Arvantis competed in Greece and Matt Hume claims to be a Pankration exponent.

Pankration fighters

Josh "baby faced assassin" Barnett comes from a pankration backround and was the UFC heavyweight champ before having a hot piss test and loseing his belt. I believe he's off his 1 year suspension and now a part of Pride. www.shurdog.com is a good source of info on fighters and their backrounds.

Shamrock is a shootfighter not a pankration guy. Matt Hume is a Pankration guy though. Has anyone watched one of Arvantis's instructional vids or bought his books? Also Thai Bri didn't you mention training in Pankration once?
