  • UFC Fighters In Real Streetfights

Does anyone (possibly Hawk?) know of any situations where UFC champs have had to fight it out for real on the street? It seems to be a topic that everyone is really interested in, so whoever has a story (as long as its for real), please share all the gory details with us.

I don“t think your question is stupid at all bro. Actually, I think it depends on each fighter and his temper. Some know how to handle this situations better than others. Now don,t forget that streetfights are a totally different ball game bro, for instance If you Knew that the other person had a knife on his pocket would you be willing to show off your grappling abilities? I think not.

It's a childish hypothetical that had been covered a zillion times in the last 5 years. Get a life "bro".

I heard that Tito beat down Dennis Rodman's bodyguard at a club a while ago. I forget the exact details but it was very one sided as expected.

                Huh?

If he's asking about events that acutally happened, how can it be hypothetical?

Speaking of Tito, I went to his website and I read some interviews with him and I was really impressed by his attitude. I wish more athletes were as intent on helping troubled youth as he seems to be.

Hey there Quad, Marcus, Mako, and Sccr06, thanks for your positive contributions to this thread. It is good to see that some of us respond to a thread after they have taken the time to understand it, while others......

By the way, sounds pretty impressive about Dennis Rodmans bodyguard being taken out. I am sure that he would have been a pretty serious sort of fighter to be put in charge of taking care of Rodman.

One thing that I am curious as hell about is that some of the smaller fighters do well against the larger fighters in the NHB tournaments, but how well could they perform if a smaller guy was cornered up against a bar by a far bigger guy in a crowded club?

Give This guy a break....He's new to the forum.. give him some love and welcome him.. Don't mock him and try to embarrass him like "Tampon Boy" tried to do..As if to say," Hey even though my acne medication doesn't work and I still can't score with chicks I can still step up to the plate and pick on the new guy"....You should be ashamed of yourself...

                        Ryan....

                          Aussie,
I don't think you can compare a NHB fight with a bar situation. An NHB fight is a controled environment. In a bar fight anything can happen. A little guy could grab a bottle and bust it over a big guy's head or just knee him in the nuts and then run out the door or something.
But if the big guy gets his mitts on you....you better choke him out fast!

                            Hey Aussie

A few years back when I lived in California I heard about Jerry Bohlander of the Lion's Den getting into an altercation at a party. From what I understand it was over before it started with Bohlander choking the guy to sleep. It's not directly related to the UFC, but I know of a time when Ralph Gracie was in a bar with some friends of his in the Bay Area and a guy thought his cauliflower ears were funny and flicked one of them with his finger. It didn't take long at all before that guy went to sleep too.

From what I understand both of their opponents had no idea they were about to mix it up with a seasoned fighter. It's the same as when a new guy walk into your academy not knowing what to defend or what to expect. He usually gets armlocked or choked in a matter of seconds. It's the same story on the street.

Hope this is what you were looking for man

Hey guys thanks for the replies. Patrick that was the exact sort of story I was interested in hearing. Sounds pretty imrpressive. I don't imagine most people would be expecting someone to try and choke them out, maybe just a wild swing or something like that.

We had our Jiu Jitsu Christmas party a few weeks back. Get a few gallons of booze into 4 dozen bjj boys and anything is likely to happen....
