I'm pretty sure you can order it on line... Illegal to posess but it can be had for collectors...Just like daggers, switch blades and swords...

Say it with me "CURIO"! You are going to put it behind glass in a nice (locked) display with your other EXOTIC weapons, right?

    • I'm going to have to check on that; I don't even think you can order it online... but believe me I will check, and if possible, I will own one, to hell with California laws... they aren't going to protect me from Joe-Scumbag anyways...

How about you admit to the fact that nothing is useful for multiple attackers when your unarmed.
And if the muggers ARE armed, and your not, theres STILL nothing effective against them when it comes to a discipline of fighting.

        • There is a way. Like Tuhon Leo Gaje says, if someone pulls a knife on you, you pull out a bigger knife

Are you saying that if you were attacked by more than one person you would just give up and let them beat you down because you're convinced that there is absolutely nothing that you could do to stop them anyway? Call me crazy but I think there are better ways to handle the situation than curling up in a ball and waiting for the lights to go out...

Yeah, just as i thought, a troll... YOU go right ahead and live with your victim mindset jr...Ive been in fights where it was 3-4 on ME was i hurt? SURE were my opponents INJURED? you bet your ....mindset sonny...most jerks who wolfpack do so because they NEED to...learn how to defend yourself in any situation, or keep on practicing your SPORT and telling yourself everyone else is just as vulnerable as you are in the street...

PS, a warrior is NEVER unarmed, at minimum you always have your wits and training...the mind is the most powerful weapon in the world, NOT bjj.

keep in mind this joker thinks his back is a good place to fight from, those who train to fight one on one with rules from the ground naturally cant comprehend multiple opponents and (GASP) NO RULES or weapons, oh my....

                • Wouldn't a gun be justified against multiple attackers; I mean hopefully no one gets killed, but I would think a gun would be a great deterrent from a small lynch mob...

I'd look into a good JKD/PFS school that integrates weapon work, stand up and grappling. You're not trying to become a pro-fighter, but you want some effective skills in all ranges and be able to repeatedly pull your moves against someone coming after you. Live sparring and grappling is the best way.

Krav Maga is worth a look too as are muay thai (empty-handed) and jiu-jitsu.

Yes, you can do some serious damage with it, but it doesn't go in depth enough on the grappling, and the only striking we did was in Combat Hitting skills which is basically boxing in an enclosed ring with Drill Instructors watching, and they love to see blood...

Live sparring and grappling definitely will be imperative; I had always been into Martial Arts as a kid but never formally trained in a Dojo; and yes I watched Bruce, I know that there are his fans here, and also a lot of detractors...

Yes you're going to get hit, maybe kicked, scratcehd a whole lot and hopefully not cut but so are the aggressors if you even put up a little resistance. Get a weapon, get some training and the gumption to use it.

Do you think the guy attacking you 'respects' you as a human being?

Line was replaced because it emphasized FIGHTING, the new Military fighting techniques are based on controlling an opponent...IE arresting them, its a sign of the new police role the American military is being geared for...

Yeah it's a bunch of bullsh!t.. the political correctness has crept into warfighting.. meanwhile the enemies of America continue to practice the absolute and total annihilation of American troops with any and every method available...

I went through USMC boot camp in 93; I don't know what they teach in boot camp these days...

Thats why i said, for 1 on 1, i'll go for BJJ.....And No rules? A Ground Fighter would have the same amount of advantage when it comes to eye gouging, groin hitting etc as the attacker, except more, seeing he knows the ground game. And what do you mean by "NO RULES"??Who said a ground guy cant comprehend no rules? What makes you think that that statement isnt valid for all the other martial arts? I could make the same statement for any other martial art, whether its kung fu, taekwondo, muay thai or whatever.

No dipshit you cant, ONLY GJJ/MMA is BASED on "fighting" one opponent who you KNOW is unarmed....no MARTIAL artist is so foolish to assume that an UNKNOWN opponent on the street is unarmed....therefore NO ONE with a shred of common sense would voluntarily go to the ground in the first place....ground work is NOT going to save your ass in a street fight, but it will probably insure you lose it .....see jr the very mindset of your sport has conditioned you to lose any real fight you get in....unarmed muggers
