actually i studied bjj under matt serra....rodrigo fracie and a black belt under him.....i currently have a blue belt.I studyed muay thai with a trainer who studied in thailand at fairtex....studied boxing under a national golden gloves champ.....wrestled in junior high and high school and had a 53-5 record....13-0 in grappling tourneys...3-0 muay thai and 2-1 in boxing.....challenge matchs/smokers undefeated with at least over 50 wins.I now train from time to time at SBG and enjoy it very much....i train my knife and stick offense and defense with some of my training partners....learned it from going to a knife n stick seminar and by watching tapes.....and i have trained in martial arts for almost 11 years now and also study a variety of other styles but those are basicly my main ones.I blend hand 2 hand and weapons together to try and make myself as complete as possible but i still know how dangerous those kind of situations can be so i make no false claims saying ill disarms anyone id run way before that.Excuse me for not being an "expert" knife fighter who has killed countless men and whose thirst for blood will never be quenched because everytime he takes a step outside someone trues to knife him....i live in queens ny i dunno where you live but i can tell u its not as bad as my neighborhood and noone ever pulled a knife on me.You must be damn good to survive all those attacks eh boarspear

You can see it after Katrina as well, relying on others for your safety is pussy and the easy way out. You go ahead and believe MMA is superior to Special forces and that the calvary will come to your rescue
Yes, every damn security professional screwed up... THESE people ARE your so-called SD specialists. They certainly weren’t MMA guys. Please enlighten us on what REAL SD is and where it was during these times of crisis... You say special forces, but those guys were the same ones who let us down.

Yeah, I take MMA we can beat up those Green berets and shit, their a bunch of pussies without their guns
Again, more hypothetical nonsense... If these so-called “dangerous” green berets are so tough, why aren’t they fighting? Heck, my MIS director was special forces... They guy couldn’t fight worth squat, but he could shoot like a mutha. Special forces guys are tactical weapons experts... Get it through your head.

Or learning to fight with rules and no weapons in a ring and thinking your better equipped to kill the other guy outside the ring with weapons? you arent any better trained for that environment than the SF guy is for the ring.
Puahahaha... Finally, we’ve come full circle to the “Dim Mak” theory. Yep, Dim Mak is so deadly I can only practice it, not apply it. Sorry, “boards don’t hit back.”

When it’s all said and done, a MMA guy will still beat up the SD guy... Show us otherwise.

i aint mad, im laughing...it isnt anyone i know running the streets with a false sense of security. NONE of my students will EVER chase a hit and run driver down a street in Ring gear and get shot for their trouble...because i dont brain wash them into believing they are invincable and have bulletproof shields around them in the form of GJJ like Helios claims it is

nope your right about that they will toss a knife at the driver and hit him right in his neck thus causing him to lose control of his car while you run after him to grab his wallet and book it before the cops get there

Let me guess... Instead, you would have thrown a knife through the car windshield, stabbing the driver. Then caught the round he shot off. It's no wonder you've survived all those knife and weapons encounters...

i believe the felon fleeing the hit and run was using self defense when he shot and killed Alex Gong. he was defending himself from an enraged MMA guy...

go ahead throw a fit now, claim it wasnt self defense, or thats bad taste to bring it up. Fact is Alex was gonna kick his ass, he took the MMa mentallity into the street. it cost him his life....ANYONE with proper street sense and training knows better, but the ring made him feel invincable and he forgot he was a ring badass in the street he was meat.

right and wrong dont matter surviving does...mind set is a MAJOR factor in SD the ring clearly doesnt teach the right mindset for street survival.

Any of the SF guys you seem to discount would have known better

yea im sure an escaped felon riding in a stolen car really gave to shits about alex gong.....he saw this guy plow into his car when he was training....its not like he put his gloves on to intimidate the guy....he went over to talk to him and after gong got pissed he smashed the guys window in and the guy shot him.Yes gong did overreact but to say that all mma people recat in this manner is utterly stupid....everyone is different and have different emotions and reactions and gong's wasnt to smart. We should all take a lesson from that....but let me ask you a question keyboard warrior?? what would you of done in that situation toughguy?

No we have enough sense to realize you cant beat up cars, and people who have bad intent probably have a weapon making the guard a bad place to be in the street and mma doesnt deal with alot of weapons so perhaps its better suited to bar fights, school fights and the ring than self defense.

Yes, let's go by this logic... Jason Deluca was using Self-Defense when he got his butt handed to him by Royce Gracie... Yep, Jason was defending himself from an attacking Royce...

i wouldnt have punched in his window, I would have taken off the gear (the car was wrecked there was no hurry) aside from that its hard to say. wearing gloves and punching in the window WAS an MMA toughguy stunt...Alex probably thought he was going to intimidate the guy, and he did...into shooting him.

so self defense means a person on drugs with a knife or a gun?? if thats the case then everyone who teachs "real" self defense is full of bullshit because they all be shot or shanked to death.

actually the guy was stopped at a stoplight so he tried his best to catch up and talk to him which turned into a heated debate and he got shot......so you took the gloves off then what would you of done after that??
