made me feel a little foolish, but proud...
I was driving home, when this fella kept trying to drive slow in front of me (which irritated me). Anyway, I pass him (his car sucks) and am on about my business. Next thing I know, he is next to me, engine screaming, swerving towards my car like he is trying to hit me. I lose it and start screaming that he is to pull over (which he likely doesn't hear, since his window is rolled up). he gives me the slow bird and a stupid look. I look around looking for something to throw at him, and resort to throw my favorite water bottle at his car, figuring he'd pull over for sure now.
Anyway, he doesn't, and after another mile or so we reach a stoplight where I need to turn left to get home. He stays in his (right lane), and I get into my left turn lane. by this time I am just shaking my head, trying to calm down. A minute or two later, this cat maneuvers out of his lane, and pulls in behind me and after another little while gesticulates like he wants something. WTF?
I just shake my head and try to ignore him, but before I know it I see the guy opening his door. I am out of the car in about 1 second and headed for him. He is about my size, but probably 10 or 15 years older (im 33), and out of shape. I hear him say "bring it," but not real convinced. by now I am in his face asking him if he is a f*cking @sshole on purpose or what? His reponse "yeah, I'm an asshole." He seems pretty angry too, as his lip is trembling.
Now in an almost unbelievable display of good decisionmaking, I turn around and walk back to my car (as Im walking I hear tuffguy tell me "get back into your car, little boy"), get in and pull up to wait for the light, which by now had truned green and red again.
He backs up, and hauls ass past me (straight, that light was still green), missing my car by maybe an inch. I consider chasing him for about a second, but decide that I'd made the right choice, and just stay where I am, waiting for my light, alowing my pulse to return to normal.
