I met my boyfriend at BJJ. We've trained together for over 3 years.
I've seriously dated one of my old instructors, and not-so-seriously dated a couple of BJJ guys and one karate guys... This over the space of many, many years, so it hasn't really been a series of martial artist flings or anything...
Anyway, the ratios work for me! I'm the only girl in my club... When I went on my first Gracie cruise, there was like one woman for every 50 men, so my dad was SURE I was gonna find a husband there LOL!
Ahh I see. Your ulterior motive worked; trolling for men where the ratio is definitely in your favor... hmmm, that gives me an idea, now come to think of it, taking a Kundalini Yoga class doesn't sound so stupid... I'm thinkin there's more women than men, goodstuff
At pilates this morning there were maybe fifteen women and just two men. But the women were obnoxious and stole each other's pilates balls and fought over where to put their matts.

Merengue is similar to but much less complicated than salsa. The women frequently out number the men 3-1 in those classes

That's actually a pretty funny mental image I'm sure it's incredibly annoying to put up with when you're trying to focus on your work out though.

I could have easily gotten really upset if it wasn't so darn funny, grown women acting like schoolgirls.
It's even funnier in yoga classes when people are jerks, because it is supposed to be about peace and enlightenment. At least the people who go to pilates (other than me) aren't there for spiritual reasons.

Men do Pilates??? I'm going to have to look into this, for the female to male ratio alone
