I saw both fights and I have to agree.

Sperry took that big flying leap in hopes of at least getting the action moving. Whether that was wise or not will always be debated, but it appeared that Igor was holding on for dear life until that point.

Regardless, dems the breaks. Anybody who knows of Sperry just sort of writes that one off...

Yeah I remember that fight...although the memory is cloudy now since it has been so long. Sperry did appear to be winning until the famous leap. But it did look to me like Sperry tapped at the end of that fight. I know there was a lot of controversy about that.

I have it taped from pay per view when I saw it all those years ago. He didn't tap, he wiped blood off his face, and he dropped his hand to the mat.
Looks kinda like a tap though, but I really believe it wasn't.

I like when John Perretti said that nobody ever escaped the mount of Mario Sperry and Igor did it twice. I think Sperry tapped, who cares anyway. I don't think Mario does.

Well here are two very big definites:

            1. The mount is not invincible--not even Sperry's

            2. Perretti is an ASS

            Good training!
