being in good physical shape has a lot to do with being a good lover, IMHO. But, just like in bjj, just because you're strong, flexible, etc. doesn't mean you'll be any good without technique. Being a good lover is a completely other skill. Fighting can't teach you gentleness or tenderness.
Most importantly, being a good lover involves activites out of bed too. Seduction begins the minute you see your partner (at dinner, the movie place, at the door, etc.) Sex isn't like sparring: you don't start the timer, clap hands, then go. Women need LOTS of warm-up time, which has less to do with physical attributes than personal attributes. Women love a guy with a sense of humor, that pampers them, that can hold interesting conversations and is able to express himself without being a didact, etc. Fighting won't teach you those qualities either.
If you can be funny, approachable, intelligent, sensitive BEFORE you get to bed...even if you look like George Costanza, you'll have no problems getting the woman of your dreams in bed.
So, do grapplers make for poor lovers? Well, if these grapplers think that all it takes to be a good lover is a narrow criterion such as being able to last more than 30 mins...then yes.
