ALL RIGHT PEOPLE, NEW THING IN THIS THREAD, THE DIEGO DIAZ FIGHT. IF THAT WAS 5, 5 MINUTE ROUNDS DIAZ WOULD HAVE WON.
I think it was the same thing as Dan severn vs. Royce gracie. If you never saw it it went 20 some minutes with no rounds. BJJ is all about waiting till your opponent is tired enough to do something stupid and then you break their arm, or leg, or face, or neck, or whatever. Deigo was worn out from pushing the pace, was cut over his eye, and was IN a submission when the fight ended. DIAZ WOULD HAVE WON HAD THE FIGHT CONTINUED...
I usted to train with luke he was absolutely amazing in that fight!! although i thought joe won.Diego whooped that ass although diaz had some verry good guard defenese/offense....in case anyone is wondering keith jardine beat kerry schall by tko(leg kicks)melvin guillaird won by tko(cut)and josh burkman won by big huge KO SLAM over sam morgan in just 21 secs!!
Do you mind if I tell other people:
said usted to train with luke he was absolutely amazing in that fight.Oh. Whatever gave you that idea? What happened to it?
That is a hypothetical question.
Does any one think even Diaz won, Sanchez did not really control the fight. The hardest blow to either man was the kick to Sanchez's face.
Did you see how bad Diaz cut him up. Sanchez was dripping blood during his interview with Rogan!
i wasnt impressed with joe at all. luke on the other hand was one of the most impressive guys on the whole cast. his matches were fun to watch cause he would always dislay good striking skills. we all knew joe was gonna just keep it on the ground, and although he was close at the end of round 1, he really wasnt able to accomplish much on the ground. i wish that fight had gone one more round. right as luke escaped from joes ground attack and got up he had that evil look on his face and business was about top pick up. joe was tired and luke was just getting started. lukes conditionining was way better. **** man, 1 more round would have been awesome.
I wanted luke to win so bad (because i too am a nerd), but I think the judges were right with joe. Luke did impress me a lot with his defense on the ground. I thought for sure that if he went on the ground he would lose fast. He proved a lot of people wrong and it is not the last we will see him.
As for diego and diaz...diego won for sure. He was so explosive, and it didnt look like it phased him too much. The only thing that diaz had was one or two up-kicks.
p.s. diaz is a dick. at the end, he wouldnt even give diego the respect he deserved. He said that he didnt earn that win. "He got extra help." extra help from whom? no one else was in the ring. although, I would not say any of this to his face, because he would beat my ass.
But not anymore?
I only hear that type of response less than five percent of the time.Whatever gave you that idea?I get it. proved a lot of people wrong and it is not the last we will see him.
I've been waiting for you.
Perhaps I'm just expressing my own concern about it.When was he?There might be others.I think diaz is more than that.
The end he would not even give diego the respect he deserved is where it's at.Did you believe him?I get it. got extra help.
Try saying that with more or less context. That is a rather sweeping generalization about people.Oh. So what would you say?
I think both the Stevenson and Sanchez decisions were accurate. Stevenson got a lot of takedowns and controlled more than Luke did. Sanchez was "on top" more than Diaz and the takedowns made Sanchez look better. I can't believe how Diaz still talked trash after the match. Dude you just got beat, accept it and don't humiliate the shirt you're wearing that says "GRACIE" on it.
Diaz was talking about favoritism from the judges when he's talking about "extra help", it's obvious diego is the more popular fighter and it's just because he was on the first season of TUF. Now diego did show some f**king awesome circling work to shoot to the back of diaz, his level changes were execptionally fast too. But you gotta give mad f**king props to diaz for his juijitsu man, his shit was off the HOOK! Diego was IN a submission when the horn blew man, give em one more round and diaz would of had em. Diego even said himself he was blown from pushing that kind of pace, and Diaz was doing what any juijitsu master does and that's wait for your opponent to do something stupid or leave himself open, and that happens when your tired. Diego's stack wasn't doing anything to Diaz's stamina. Diaz would have had him had it been a title match 5, 5 minute rounds.
Both decisions were accurate and Diego had the nearest armbar he was much closer to subbing Diaz than Diaz subbing Diego, no need to think what woulda happen if there more rds because there weren't any so why think about it. He lost and that's that. Luke showed a lot of heart, but Joe had him two rds to one, but Luke will be back and I think a match between him and Kenflo would be a good fight.
