  • Combinations To Martials

I was wondering the other day when I was kick-boxing with a few friends that practized rugby (almost elite competition) ,they both did not know what I do about boxing but still being almost the same size I could not take them down .
I took a few blows to the head ,and from then on I decided to spar as hard as I can ,I kicked their ass, but mann what the hell of an endurance this guys had ,and they did not feel my low kicks at all.
Well my questios is , what sport would you think is the best complement to martial arts ? I think is between rugby or ice-hockey ,
    What is your choice?

Depends on what martial art man, if you wanna do cap or tkd or sumthin that looks cool, something like gymnastics would help you do crazy stuff that looks cool more than would help in a brawl, if your a thai guy or a boxer, i'd say rugby is a good idea, if your a bjj or wrestler i'd say swimming or water polo. Drowning other people in a pool while being drowned is a ton of fun and a hell of a work out, water polo is sum tough shit. Rugby is great if you need practice taking hits.

almost every single sport you will benefit from somehow, any kind of physical activity will help your martial arts, (aslong as its not cripling),

tennis, squash, badminton, swimming, basketball, soccer/football, rugby, darts, pool, baseball, rounders, even childrens games, like tag/add, bulldog, run outs, hop scotch, jump rope,

they all help your martiala bilities, i play most sports there a big help and fun too,

Eh, I guess football/rugby/hockey is good, but that usualy results in brute and I dislike brutes. I think that all sports do in fact compliment martial art, and the agressive nature of football/rugby/hockey may lead to it quicker, but the mindset of such players may be detrimental to thier martial art success.
