Seagal got his ass handed to him by Gene LeBell. Jackie is too cool for that nonsense and I have no idea how Jet Li would look in a REAL fight.

As for Joe Rogan, I'm not crazy about the guy. Anybody remember one of the older UFC's when he first came on the show and was trying to interview Tank Abott? That was funny as hell. Joe looks nervous as Tank says "Fear Factor? I'll give you something to fear about" (Or something like that) Can't remember the exact UFC (somebody help me on this one)

BTW, Capoeira (Snipes) will kick TKD's (Rogan?) ass anyday of the week.

As much as I hate the BS McDojo TKD of today, Capoeira will not do anything. What is he going to do, dance around and go into a handstand to throw out a few breakdance kicks? I dislike Capoeira as a martial art though its great for you and sure as hell looks cool, and this chick dig it.

I think they do a little crosstraining too. I know Rogan does BJJ and I think Snipes may do some boxing.

I saw Rogan working a heavy bag on an episode of The Man Show where he was training Doug Stanhope to fight Tonya Harding. He looked like he had some game.

Snipes also does Shotokan, Silat, and a whole plethora of other shit too. I'm pretty sure he's done muay thai and kali in the past as well.

Yeah, and I think Niki Stixx is also has a brown belt or something in BJJ.

C'mon, guys...just because they're a bunch of goofy ass actors and entertainers doesn't mean they can't hit the gym or the mat in their spare time.
They certainly won't be as good as conditioned combat athletes...but the fights would most likely be as entertaining. (seeing somebody famous getting beat down is almost always hilarious, eh?)

if anything actors and entertainers get the best training because they have so much money. they can pay for privates from the top fighters and instructors from all over the world, even fly them in to teach in their homes.

even Al bundy trains in jiu jitsu. last i heard he was a brownbelt, he might even be a black now. imagine training at Bundy Jiu Jitsu, or getting tapped out by Al Bundy.

                    Lol bundy or chuck norris....

Y'know whats funny, one my Jiu Jitsu instructors taught ole chuck a thing or too in the grappling department lol... funny shit..

An interesting fact though, Chuck Norris is now a Machado black belt, and apparently hes the driving force behind them ever coming to America in the first place.

Apparently they hold Chuck in very high regard...

A lot of capoeira looks flashy, true. But take TKD for instance: there are practitioners out there who earn respect for their art, they are not products of a "McDojo". Not all capoeiristas are breakdancers. The cool thing about capoeira is that you can do it a club or party and get chicks. Try that with MT (whether the MT beats up the capoeirista afterwards and then takes the girl is another story...lol)
To clear up your misconception of capoeira, you should realize that street-fighting oriented teachers of the art don't advocate "dancing" (doing ginga) before or during the fight. You only see that in movies cause it looks cool. One mestre suggested the ginga is similar to walking. If anything, doing the ginga IN TRAINING teaches you to launch kicks from a mobile base.
It is true that capoeira is short on hand techniques , but I don't think it is any worse that TKD in this respect (c'mon they always kick with their hands all over the place).
If you are in NYC, try a little cross-style sparring with some of the Abada crew there (half of them cross-train in BJJ, btw).

Rogan would get owned by Snipes.
"“I was always a really bad kid,” Rogan recounts. “in and out of trouble until I was 13 or 14. Until I started doing martial arts, I had always thought of myself as a nice guy trapped in the body of a violent criminal. It was this discipline and focus of Tae Kwon Do, claims the Newark-born and Boston-raised Rogan, that enabled him to take his life back.

Within two years, Rogan had earned a black belt and went on to become the Massachusetts Full Contact Tae Kwon Do champion four consecutive times. At the age of 19, he won the US Open Tae Kwon Do Championships and, as the lightweight champ, went on beat both the middle and heavy weight title holders to take home the Grand Championship.
                        " LOL
