      I'll admit im jealous of his bjj skills if hes a purple... who gives a shit, hes not a bad ufc commentator, hes not great, but hes not bad... better than goldberg anyway... fear factor is an alrite show for about ten minutes.. .so if your eating or something, and you want to watch tv while you eat , its good... and news radio was a pretty fuckign funny show... so FAK off with the Joe Rogan hating...

          To clear up your misconception of capoeira, you should realize that street-fighting oriented teachers of the art don't advocate "dancing" (doing ginga) before or during the fight. You only see that in movies cause it looks cool. One mestre suggested the ginga is similar to walking. If anything, doing the ginga IN TRAINING teaches you to launch kicks from a mobile base.
          It is true that capoeira is short on hand techniques , but I don't think it is any worse that TKD in this respect (c'mon they always kick with their hands all over the place).
          If you are in NYC, try a little cross-style sparring with some of the Abada crew there (half of them cross-train in BJJ, btw).
          Capoeira helps you get the girl but Bjj helps you keep the girl.
