  • If styles make fights...

Which styles make for the best fights?

    In your opinion,

two wrestlers going at it, or a wrestler trying to take down a striker, a striker fighting a submission artist, or a submission artists working for a sub, etc...

Edit; I guess instead of wrestling I should have put takedowns... soo... any no gi judo guys... they count in the wrestling department. Wrestling would also be the ground and pound.

I think striking and submission. I think wrestling is great but they often stall the fight with their pins.

Definately striker Vs striker, its a pity there are very few if any decent strikers in the UFC, there are plenty of scrappers, just not strikers. Get someone like Musashi in there from K-1!

Never heard of this mushashi guy... dont follow K-1.. but with the emphasis solely on standup in K-1.. dont you think he would just get ground and pounded?

I'm not knocking K-1.. just... wondering...

Or he could just one punch his opponents like Bang Ludwig lol..

I voted striker v striker. Although I really enjoy sub v sub also. I liked the Diaz Sanchez fight. Just didn't end the way I wanted, although I kinda think Nick is a whiny little brat now. Anyway back to the topic at hand...

                  lol about the Diaz/Diego thing...

I wanted Nick to win... but y'know , I dont think he lost that fight, I dont think he won it either... to tell you the truth I thought it was a draw.. even though I knew Diego would get the nod.

Even if he wasnt teh TUF star... he was on top, and UFC judges think thats better.

Cant say I've seen many MMA gaurds as good as Diaz's though... well.. as active as Diaz's...

Styles don't make fights, fighters make fights.

I like watching Nick Diaz fights, Chris Leben, Matt Hughes, etc...

I loved that fight. Tons of reversals, etc... I haven't seen so much actual "rolling" in an mma fight in a long time in the UFC. I hope they rematch and Nick beats him. Although I don't really care to much for him, I respect his ability as a fighter (Diaz).

Yeh he would lose on the ground im just saying UFC needs someone who has really striking talent like Musashi, combine that with even
a basic ground game and its a very interesting fighter, very enjoyable to watch too.

BTW there are plenty of MMA fights, especially in things like Heroes. There are some UFC fighters who entered the MMA stuff aswell, seemingly getting beaten the majority of the time?
