  • The last cage rage I saw...

I saw the first Cage Rage in Louisville KY the other week. Let me just say "There sure are a lot of chumps." People say that MMA is such an effective deadly art and can kick anyones ass basically. What I saw was a lot of fat guys who barly have trained beating each other up. Its like people just join a fight club and train a bit about five months and all of a sudden they are MMA fighters! BS!! They suck!!

Other people complained and said they could find better fights in the parking lot. Dont get me wrong though there was some awsome technical matches from BJJ players and others. There was some actual decent fights but just too many chumps for the cash I paid. I could have beaten them myself.

The event was not run very well as they kept having 10 min breaks in between matches that always lasted 30 mins instead just so they could sell more beer! The sound was bad and the sound man was off on quing the music for each fighter the even took WAY too long.

I just want to see MMA events with actual trained martial artists with a lot of experience and skill. I dont care what martial art it is, they just need to stop throwing in bar room brawler type guys who are full of themselves. All it is is flab and fast punches on the ground until the luckiest person connects first and knocks out the other person. No skill.

Maybe dont go to the cheap shitty shows?

I'm not too familiar with cage rage.. but if you want to see top quality, gotta spend top dollar.. just like anything else..

actually didnt Vitor fight in cage rage recently? somewhere in england.. hmm..

I'm pretty sure you should avoid seeing anything involved in martial arts in KY, ew. I think a lot of "MMA" is just angry tough-guy brawlers, which is a shame but a reality. The best guys almost always make the show so much more worth it. Frankly, the only MMA events I would personally pay to attend at Pride and K-1, though I don't live in Japan so that might not happen for a while.

Actually Cage Rage is based in Indiana but this last show was held in Louisville KY. Anyway I dont expect pro quality karateka or whatever, but you would think a few more fighters in the area would have been black belts in some form like judo or karate or even TKD!! I dont think it would be hard to find some decent random people, or even any exotic arts or some "so and sos fighting system".

Im just bored of fat brawlers or gangster wannabe assholes making a mockery of what martial arts tournaments should be about. and im sick of their attitudes of them thinking they are all that and baddasses.
