not sure, doctors told me there are a lot of small ones, especially in the cheek area and near the nose. I got a heel to the left of my nose which knocked me out for a second or two. I went home after class and fell asleep. when I woke up I couldn't feel any of the left side of my face and a little down my neck, although there was sharp pain if I touched the exact spot I was hit. a sharp pain just like I felt when I had my leg reset after a break. I went to the university medical center ER the next day. they determined I had broken at least one bone in my face which was causing pressure on some nerves, hence the numbness. apparently there is no way to fix this other than surgery, but sometimes it heals itself. they made me an appointment in 35 days with the maxio-facial surgeon incase it didn't get better. I was lucky in that a couple of days before my appointment the numbness went away.
