I'd love to see Fedor fight Rickson Gracie when Rickson was at his peak, or now, it doesn't really matter. That would be awesome.

I'm not sure I picked up on the humour in your post , but I have the utmost admiration for Rickson Gracie. I also have a huge deal of respect for Fedor Emelianenko. They are 2 of the best fighters on the planet hence the reason why I would love to see them square off.

Yea... Umm.... Fedor(235 lbs) would destroy Rickson(185 lbs) to put it lightly. Sorry.

word^^. Fedor is a monster. He would outright dominate Rickson. However, I still have great respect for Rickson. Anyone who does BJJ should. But MMA is a whole different animal that just BJJ (gi or no-gi).

Rickson's beaten plenty of bigger opponents than himself and is established at Vale Tudo fighting. That's why I think it would be awesome to see.

                I wouldn't pick a result though.

True, but in all seriousness Fedor is a different breed of "bigger opponent." Also, Rickson's reputation is a lot like Royce's...a lot of it comes from the golden "legend" days, not against today's modern scientifically engineered beasts.

Fedor's shown himself to be "impossible" so far to submit, he was IN Nogueira's guard and baiting him with armbar/Kimura opportunities while pounding away, and Nog was never able to clinch a submission. And Fedor had Nog going glassy eyed here and there...and Nog has proven hiself to be "impossible" to knock out as well. I doubt Rickson could take even near the same amount of punishment.

Even worse now is that Rickson's damn OLD.

I can't argue with that. Fedor is a monster. I guess if Rickson was about 10-15 years younger maybe it would be worthwhile. It'll always be a fantasy fight of mine however!

The only way to submit Fedor is by choke and actually put him to sleep (or kill him!!) but you have to get him into the position so he becomes vulnerable to it first. Good luck to whoever does it.....I can't see it happening in the near future myself.
