Griffin did NOT loose that fight to Ortiz! That was one of the biggest BS decisions I've seen... The fact that they scored Ortiz the winner in the third round because of a takedown was a crock. Ortiz may have gotten Griffin down, but he never landed a strike, and Griffin was actually tagging him with elbows from the bottom... Kinda lost a little faith in the UFC over this one

Griffin definitly won... which I totally didn't expect. I couldn't belive the punishment he took either... he truly is a beast. Then, afterwards jumping up and down and wanting to go 2 more rounds lol... he's a cool guy. All he wanted to do was do his taxes and beat Tito.

i can't believe how a forum with the majority of people being BJJ and grappling enthusiats do not respond to threads about UFC PPVs. I always come in here to get the results and the # of posts r always pitiful.
I hate grappling and ground fighting, yet I understand the science and philosophy of it enough that I can tolerate watching it. But since one of the primary staples of a UFC fight is usually ground fighting, I am truly surprised that I have much more interest watching these events than the BJJ guys, since I hate it when they go to the ground and get into guard.
What's wrong with u guys? I always see u in all the other forums saying how so and so wouldn't even beat Nick Diaz or Diego Sanchez b/c they have no ground game. If u respect the sport of MMA so much y don't any of u watch the PPVs? If it's cause of $$ ok, but at the very least come in here to talk about the fights.

Did anyone here actually watch the PPV? Can anyone post the UFC 59 fights on here even if theyre bad quality? Im still baffled at how Sylvia TKO's Avloski, no one it saw it coming. Could Arvloski have defended himself from Sylvia's barrage if the ref didnt stop the fight? Perhaps, but i didnt see it.Why didnt Arvloski capitalize his knockdown punch like he's done in most of his fights?

Well, my post did have info only someone who saw the fight would know... but besides that... lol. Arlovski could have defended himself(he was with his hand) for a little while, but sylvia would have killed him anyway, he is too powerful a puncher. He couldn't have, Sylvia was ready as soon as he hit the ground, his feet were up ready to kick.

But what if he pulled guard and locked up with Sylvia, cause Arvolski is a very tough guy, he could with stand a couple moments of GnP...and we all know his ground game is better, even from bottom. But Sylvia won fair and square and completely shocked everyone, which is awesome. But Arvloski WILL fight again, i just cant wait until his next fight where busts his opponent head open! As for Sylvia, we'll see how long he can hold the belt this time. There's not many HW threats besides Arvloski(there will be another rematch).

Arlovski was taking hard shots, he couldn't have pulled guard, he even said he agreed with the refs' decision. I think Monson will beat Sylvia and have to face Arlovski... which will be a good match.
