Ce sont des tireurs au cul. Tireurs au cul
How's that trolling? That's good advice there mate. Pulling guard and guillotine works wonders. Especially on people who know f'uck all bout grappling and who are just trying to out power you.
WHAT no one has ever got ko'ed by a knee or shin type kick (using shin as a wepon to shorten distance) while attempting a shot in an mma match
Yes they have. But not very often. And nowhere near enough times to make it a reliable and valid counter to rely on. The sprawl however is proven again and again.
My point about the guillotine is that it is very easy to catch someone in if they are just some random thug who's never trained in grappling. This technique also works well against much larger opponents.
The guillotine isn't just useful against untrained people either. I land it a lot in sub grappling. It's just that it's much much easier to land on someone who doesn't even know what a guillotine is.
I used a guillotine and gaurd pull to defend a "shot", in a friendly "fight" once...
it basically went down as I threw out a lazy jab, not really trying to hit him in the face cause were friends, then he kinda hit me with some wierd ass forward reverse hammer fist in the face, then kinda clinched and tried to grab my legs, so I pulled gaurd and guilltoined, he tried to "run" past my gaurd, didnt work.. and he tapped out...
Wasnt a real fight, but it shows it does work, I dont know If I'd recommend it over the sprawl in a real fight though, we were just screwing around before him and the other friend filmed me doing stupid shit on my mountain bike.
Well, I reckon that depends on who you are attempting to sprawl on!
I will agree with this statement to a degree. Just as it would be easier to effectively land a jab on my youngest sister compared to landing one on Lennox Lewis in his prime. Granted the target of any technique will change the difficulty of any given technique. Although, in just reviewing the technique itself, the sprawl is a fairly easy technique to learn and use.

The real point is that a professional boxer will smack you in the mouth whatever defense you think is easy to use. False confidence will only make it hurt more.
Sprawl and Brawl. When youve sprawled his shoot, while he is still below you, throw some short sharp hooks or elbows to the side of his face or ribs. If you have the balance to throw a knee, even better. After a couple of attempts of shooting and you S&B'ing, he will think twice about trying to take you down.
