Uma in "Kill Bill" is the best (empowering, non-bimbo) portrayal of the female martial artist (who doesn't lose her feminine side or maternal instincts, btw) in film I've seen to date.
Haven't seen the films, but just looking at the trailers you can tell "Ultraviolet" and "Aeon Flux" capitalize on the bimbo factor (costumes).

Lucy Liu, Gogo, and the other members of Bill's death squad (I forgot the name) were also very positive images of women.
"It was about that time I realized that searching was my symbol, the emblem of those who go out at night with nothing in mind, the motives of a destroyer of compasses." -Cortázar
On the Hong Kong/Taiwanese side, I think characters portrayed by Angela Mao (1970s, was also in Enter the Dragon), Michelle Yeoh (all those Jackie Chan/Samo Hung films) , and Maggie Cheung (Hero) were more positive than bimbo-esque.
