Go see a DOCTOR! Your arm could be broken, dislocated or have soft tissue damage that will not heal properly without surgery. My guess is dislocated or broken...

Real macho to keep playing when you're hurt (Read STUPID) Take care of yourself buddy. You'll regret it later (in life) if you don't...

I tore a hamstring once, (very badly) it took me 5 years to rehab it. Injuries happen, but you need to be smart or an injury can end you participation in an activity. It can even do more like effect the quality of your life.

Get to a doctor, listen to what he says, and don't rush anything. The absolute last thing you want is to reinjure it before its all healed up.

any *pop* is probably some ligament damage.

I'm sitting here at my computer with a big bandage on my knee from knee surgery. You can read about my knee surgery down below.

I was training, heard a pop from my knee and it was my meniscus. I took it easy but it would pop from time to time. Each time it was not as painful so I thought I was getting better. That was about a year ago.
So, for about a year, I've not been training like I should be doing.

I had knee surgery on Wednesday.
My doctor said the damage was worse than he thought. Either the MRI I had (which cost $3,300 for my knee and neck) didn't show the damage or I made it much worse from training.

Go to a Sports Med Orthopedic surgeon and have your shoulder looked at ASAP!

Don't think your shoulder will get better on it's own, it's not too llikely that will happen.

I'm gonna risk being unpopular here and go out on a limb and say this fella started this thread not to ask for injury advice but as part of his own personal process of justifying the decision he has already made to quit.

Juat take it easy in practice, and now that you are hurt its best to see a doctor and get the proper treatment. Do yourself a favor and simply learn in class, don't go for broke and go for wins, try new things, develope skills don't just be a tough guy, because you are only going ot end up a shitty grappler with a buster ego who hurts his partners in training. Don't let it get there, I know plenty of guys like that.

Take care of yourself, give it time and do what you can with your injury limitations.

I can't box because I trapped a nerve in my shoulder and I'm bursting to go to boxing again, soyou're not alone. Just be patient, it's better to wait a while now and be able to do your BJJ again - then doing some permenant damage if you push it.

Even with pernement damage you can still train. I have pernement knee and hip damage that they can't fix and if they can, they can't untill I'm 16 or 18 and then there will still be damage. But even with pernement damage I've managed to train on and off for the past year, I am going to officialy start training back up once I get a new knee brace which I'm ordering in a week or two.

So don't give up, just keep yourself safe. A true fighter knows their limits, only stupid fighters push their limits (Not ment to offend anyone)
