Pride or UFC

now im still fairly new and this has prolly been posted many times before but **** it

it seems that pride undoubtly has a bigger pool of more talented fighters in the ufc i give them that but i dont think that makes a huge difference seeing that that the UFC is a different animal the rules and time limits on rounds particulaly the first in pride are so diff im not sayin its not possible for pride fighters to excell in the UFC but sometimes when you take people out of there element they're unable to adapt to the new enviorment i think it would be interesting to see which fighters can and which cant just cause you can fight in a ring dosent mean you can fight in a cage espically when the rules are diff idk jus my opinion but it seems silva is a favorite to kick chuck ass sorta like arlovski was in arlovski/silvia 3 i guess the only way to really find out is to get them in the ring

HW = Pride, by far, dont even question this.
LHW = fairly even, Silva and Lidell are both evenly matched, Babalu's beat Shogun (this is gonna piss people off), Ortiz. If I had to give it to someone I'd give it to pride, because after the top 3 they are better. With fighters like Arona, Overeem, etc..

MW = Once again slight nod to pride, only because they have Paulo Filho haha. Franklin and Hendo you can argue till the cows come home, and I think after that pride has slightly better MW's.

WW= UFC by far, dont even question this.

LW= I think Sherk would smash em all, and the rest is pretty even... what with Jens pulver and that back... so slight edge to UFC.

What it all comes down to is, who cares, watch both, neither is better, they are just different, and have different strengths in different weight classes, and some better rules, some worse rules.

Sherk vs Gomi...that I would pay to see. Sakurai or Kawajiri instead of Gomi would be interesting as well.

I like both UFC and PRIDE....... If youve heard how they announce the fighters in Pride its pretty cool, its like, " Viiiiiiii-Torrrrrrrrrr-Belllllllll-Ffforrrrrrrrrrtttt-aaa", and the announcer holds the pitch in a very monotous tone...and its in sequence with the music too.
I like the ring better than the octagon, it makes for a faster paced fight....the knee, stomp and 'futbol' kick action on the ground is awesome.
But the UFC has the 170lb. division(which pride doesnt...i dont think so) which is stacked with the best fighters like Hughes, St.Pierre and BJ Penn. UFC also allows ELBOWS, which Pride and most other orgs. do not.

I prefer Pride, but they feature too many fighters who come from Japanese pro-wrestling. Sakuraba excluded.

Pride - I think the last UFC fighter that fought in Pride got there a** handed to them.
