I hope you didnt just figure this out... CroCop and Wand both pretty much weigh the same(if you look at what they weighed in their last fights). Wand could very realistically catch him in a sub(he damaged Fujita's elbow with is armbar 'attempt'). If Wand can do well or even defeat Cro Cop, then he'll do well against Chuck Liddel for sure. -
cro cop is awesome, but i think silva may be on whole nother level.
do you guys think cro cop is out of his league in fighting silva?
btw anyone see silva vs mark hunt? that was a fucking awesome match and even though silva got rocked many times by hunt and lost to decision, silva really brought to hunt who outweight him by like 50 lbs i think.
mark hunt is pretty badass as well. a guy that big who is that good at muay thai is going to **** shit up. he took a cro cop head kick full on and wasnt even phased by it.Comment

No no, if anyone's fighting out of their league its Wanderlei. Cro Cop has been the only one(recently) thats put up a good fight against Fedor. I think Cro Cop will win by decision but its safe to say that both fighters are in eachother's leagues. This is going to be a very competitive fight.Comment

I think Wand is the underdog here.
Lets think about this, in their first fight, what was Mirko missing? The high kick, now why is that. Because he didnt want to get taken down. Now though, he's training with Werdum, so if he's on the ground, its not too big of a problem anymore. The real thing is though.. dun da da dun!!!! Takedown Defense, Mirko can now through the LHK (left high kick) at will, and not worried about being taken down because of his far far FAR improved TD defense.
As Triangle Choke mentioned, CroCop put up a good fight against Fedor, but couldnt win, do you know why, CroCop had reason to fear Fedor's takedowns, very good reason. He doesnt need to fear Wandy's. Put Fedor and CroCop in a kickboxing match, and CroCop would kill him ,but that opening for takedowns allows Fedor to outbox CroCop.
I dont really care who wins, but I think its gonna be crocop.Comment

My money is on Silva, he is a great fighter in my opinion. Crocop is good don't get me wrong, but from what I have seen in their past, Silva looked to be at a whole different level. Just my 2 cents.
However, SamuraiGuy makes a good argument about the Fedor fight (which I did not get to see just read about).Comment

They did because it was under special rules....which stated if it went to a jd it was an automatic draw.I think Wandy won it but it was a pick em fight...espically since Cro Cop left a huge nast welt on Wandys ribs.Originally posted by OmaPlataComment

Crocop is a far better fighter than he was back then. I don't think you can say the same about Wandy...he's better, but not exceptionally so.
And yes, the Fedor thing means a lot. Anybody who could duke it out with Fedor and not get crushed is a top tier fighter.Comment

Just dont count out Wand's aggresiveness, durabilty and his Jiu Jitsu. He's also dangerous in the clinch and he might even jump guard if the time is right.Comment
