your opinion on the guard

Do u prefer the top position or the bottom of the guard in a roll, and in a mma match do you think the top guy has teh advantage or teh bottom, I think unless ur really good from the guard the top is always better because it is easier to pass then to sweep or submit from the guard especially if ur rolling no gi

In pure Grappling and in MMA it's more advantagous to be on top...because your opponent can just stall on top of you and you will lose a decision...no matter how good your guard is all it takes is a great wrestler with even medicore sub defense to avoid being caught and eek out a crappy decision....then again people do get alot of sub wins in the Guard...but thats only if your opponent is willing to open up and play the ground game with you or sucks at the ground game and your awesome.
