Shelby Walker - from Corpus Christi, Tx - was found dead in her apartment. Apparently due to an overdose of pain killers. Very sad.

My guess is that she was injecting them, it's a lot easier to make a mistake with a needle than it is with pills. The other possibilities could be that it was suicide, or possibly a synergistic reaction with something else that she took.

Wow that sucks. Those painkillers are addicting and doing fighting sports can definately make you want to take them whenever you can. I know when I need them and dont have anything to take I really wish I did. And when you do have something they make you feel a lot better. Its too bad that they make you feel so good. It really gets some people addicted, and maybe the tolerance they build up leads to them taking more and more. If anyong ever saw "The Smashing Machine" about Mark Kerr they saw how he went from simple painkillers to imported morphine from Mexico. Being a fighter is a rough life.
