  • Pirretti let go by the UFC

According to FCF, John Pirretti was let go by the new owners of the UFC. Isn't this the same matchmaker who criticized Severn as a fighter. Well if it is I'm glad he's gone!

    Bye Bye Pirretti!!!

I heard that he was a very bias matchmaker! I guess the UFC wants to start off on the right foot.

About goddamn time that queer was sent (fudge)packing. Get someone who understands the fight game, give him a decent budget and watch the UFC become a real event again.

      Sincerely,

Good. I was sick of seeing his name around the time of big events. Is matchmaking that difficult of a profession that someone is even necessary in that position? I think they could go quite far getting recommendations from former champs like the Shamrocks, Ruas, Coleman, etc.
I believe Piretti was the matchmaker for Extreme I, which was a really wierd event that didn't turn out the way he expected it. He was totally expecting Sperry to blow through the competition which didn't quite happen. The Carlson Gracie jr-John Lewis fight was also quite a bore for a fight that happened at the time of exciting fights that pitted an expert grappler against a clueless striker. And then I heard they tried to pressure Ralph to fight Carlson and even threatened Ralph about this. All in all, Piretti was being totally biased to the Carlson Gracie team by trying to let Ralph, Carlson, Sperry, and Conan just cruise through their opponents and he didn't even do a good job with that.

I think Piretti gets a bad wrap. I couldn't care less whether he is gay or not, in any case, what does his sexuality have to do with the price of tea in china? As for matchmaking, it is a difficult job given the limited budget of the UFC.
