What are your favorite takedowns from clinch? Any good tips for beginners?

i would probobly say that leg sweeps, reaps, and trips are easiest.

I prefer to knee and strike but when they get there hips close the bear hug/body lock is very handy. I like to lift and pivot them with my leg but you have to take the finish they give you.

Ok, from the clinch , the one with one hand on neck and other on persons arm..

sweep his arm off of mine with my arm, pull his head down, apply a front headlock( guillotine), pull him back with me, wrap legs around and lock them in, voila submission

throw arm around his shoulders, turn so I am facing same way as him, throw him over my hips...

judo style, very hard to do if not practiced

I like kneeing a lot but one of the guys I spar with keeps grabbing my leg. He's onto me.

I like the arm drag...someone smart told me to look at front and side body locks...

I had a killer armdrag back in hs. Best way to do it is from the collar and elbow clinch because people don't expect it. In the clinch, use your left hand to sweep his right arm out and down from the inside, kind of like a mr. miyagi 'wax on wax off' motion. Let go of his head with your right arm and catch his right arm on the tricep as you're sweeping it down. Drag his arm across his body and go straight into a double leg.

An armdrag from the tie is more difficult than doing it before the tie as you are both working for control.

And if his neck isn't made of soft rubber?

From the tie its always a good idea to look for a duck-under or to post and drop down to a high single. Or, if he's dumb enough to push back when you apply pressure you can always throw his ass.

I mean it sounds like you just assume everyone in the world will just let you pull their head all the way down into a guillotine. That part is not exactly a given.

                          true...

I guess add in a knee to the groin or solar plexus and he will go forward and than the guillotine

Or, fake a leg shot to get him moving into position to sprawl and then snap his head while his weight is slightly forward.
