  • Roger Gracie vs. Fedor Emelianenko

Who do you think will win.
Here is my own perception and I do wish I also hear from other.

Striking: I think Fedor has the complete edge here. Going toe to toe with the best strikers in town, noteably Cro-cop,he has the ace advantage here.
Ground: When it comes to grappling skills I would say that Roger has the edge but Fedor is also a sambo practitioner. We all saw what he did to Rodrigo Nog, he was in the guard but he still kept on throwing big punches.
Fedor knows the ground and pound and Nog knows that. I say Roger has a slight edge here.
Conditioning: well since roger is the ADCC submission Grappling champion and Fedor is the current Pride Heavywieght and Sambo world champ, I say their conditioning is not a problem for both. since roger follows the gracie diet and we all also saw how fedor can stand up and brawl for one whole match until the final bell I think it is equal for both unless they change something in their routine or they take training lightly then there willl be a problem. It is a tie here
Experience: No doubt Fedor has the edge because he was in several MMA matched compared to Roger's 1 fight with waterman. I say fedor has trhe edge here.

well based on the things above I think Fedor has the edge when they meet in an MMA match. But I still see a 50-50 match for both in case a match between the two takes place. I like both men and are both role models for me.

Until the Gracies improve their striking and wrestling skills I don't think they can beat some of the world's best MMA fighers like Fedor. Fedor will own anyone right now. Only guy that stands even a chance so far is Cro Crop. Even Cro Crop is not ready to beat Fedor yet, he is getthing their though.

It's not an "edge" to Fedor, it's ridiculously imbalanced matchup in favor of Fedor.

Fedor simply shrugged off Nogueira's sub attempts while landing massive shots through the guard that left Nog glassy eyed at certain points. And Nog is known for having an awesome chin and a killer grip.

Fedor's also tangled with top notch sprawl and brawl guys like Crocop, and still took him down.

That said, the latest Fedor may not be those Fedors...we haven't seen him take on a real challenge in a while. Even so, can't see Roger Gracie winning this.

Could Hickson Gracie beat Fedor back in his prime?

Wasn't he considered to be the only gracie with great wrestling skills?

I don't know much about him.

Fedor has proven himself against the best fighters in the world while Rodrigo has yet to do so. I honestly don't think Rodrigo's main game, his ground game, can even come close to Fedor's. That combined with Fedor's strength and punching power, Rodrigo doesn't have much of a chance.

            Rodrigo or Roger? lol...

            Rodrigo is Big Nog lol.

And yes, Roger would get fucking smashed into oblivion in this fight. And I like Roger.

                  Nope.

And if they were it'd be nice to see Fedor take on a real challenge...been forever since Crocop, and nothing since then(Zulu, Coleman, Hunt) has been a real challenge for him.

I want to see Fedor vs. Ken Shamrock. I think I would enjoy how that would unfold.

Are you kidding? It won't even be worth watching, gracie will get his ass handed to him so badly...... Esepcially in his current state, did you even see how he did vs waterman? It was so bad even though he won.........

And as for shamrock vs fedor. Well I'd rather see fedor doing some bag training, probably going to look the same.
