"The fact is the U.S. didn't give a damn about the slaughter of innocent Jews in Poland. Britain did and it got involved on principal."

Yeah I am sure they cared especially when Britain refused to let Jewish refugees settle in Isreal during and after the war.

Well, I don't know enough about that to comment, however, I will accept your word. It's true that Britain hasn't always done the right thing (Ireland springs to mind), but I am proud of Britain's role in WWII.

"And, unfortunately I agree with the dire prognostication of a powerful China dealing with us in the coming years."

As a Patriot it is hard to say, but I agree with part of this also. But not necessarily a case of a China superpower dealing with us. I think IF we stay on our current course in the future we'll be what Russia is now. A very very weak former super power with serious social unrest (I think even far worse than what Russia has now, very scary, just my opinion).

I think China will eventually become a very big power but not for at least another 50 years. I think that their state imposed 1 child policy is going to hurt them for a long time to come (for a couple of reasons, which I won't go into here). They also have some other major problems that I think will take them a while to overcome, but they probably will eventually.

Some people laugh at this, but I could see India becoming a pretty decent power in like 50 years if they get their unreasonable population growth under control, because if that stays like it is it will lead to MAJOR unrest for them. This is also assuming that they and Pakistan don't Nuke eachother to bits. I'm not saying I think they'll be a superpower but I could see them having reasonable power in the distant future.

I think just by the fact that there will be no real super powers left places like Britain, Germany, and the Scandinavian countries will become the major world leaders, despite their lack of resources, just by their will and smarts.

I'd also like to say that some of my fellow Americans get swelled heads over our "power" now and become a little obnoxious to other Nation's people. If we act that way we can not be surprised when everyone jumps for joy when we do fall, AND WE WILL, if we stay on our present course.

Oh ya, Japan will probably have quite a bit of power also.

I'd also like to say that if I was from another country I would think that the U.S was full of a bunch of pussies also. I'd watch one episode of Seinfeld and Beverly Hills 90210 and think the U.S was full of totally empty headed pussies and retards. I know it is hard not to judge us by our movies and T.V but believe me that crap does not represent all of us, believe it or not. But I would not blame you at all for thinking that.

I used to live in London

I have so many great memories from my year spent in the UK. Like the time I saw the English Football Hooligans arrive in France, Denmark and Beligium singing

" IF IT WASN'T FOR THE ENGLISH YOU'D ALL BE KRAUTS ".

Or better yet, the shops in Highbury and Aresnal being destroyed with the chants of

          " I'D RATHER BE A PAKI THAN A TURK ".

Or the constant taunting of German students about the Brits winning the war, when in reality it was the Red Army that marched into Berlin.

Oh, ya I especially liked Manchester right at 11 PM when all the pubs closed and all the drunks were on the street at the same time, that was really fun.

Oh Ya, how did Vinadaloo Currie become Englands national meal.

            Excellent Observations!

            Bravo.
