Right now best gi is keiko raca pants, and a koral (plain white no patches except for small on shoulder ones) gi top.
So nice.

I have a black heavy weight pro force judo ghi that is really nice and I have a white heavy weight MIZUNO judo ghi that I am slightly dissapointed with. Its a great ghi but it has shrunk too much even though I have never washed it in HOT water or put it in the dryer.Last edited by Hardball; 03-14-2007, 06:07 AM.

My Koral is still my fave. I got a lot of mileage out of my Atama double weave too.
I didn't have the same problem as Hardball with my Mizuno Judo gi, but I won't even let it touch WARM water.

I have been an Atama fan for almost six years and I haven't even been tempted to but another brand. I have friends who won't wear anything but an HCK and friends who think Gameness gis are the absolute ultimate.
Check out Joker's gi review site. Tons of good information and it might help your decision making process go a little smoother: http://www.jokerjitsu.com/gi/

Trying not to hijack this thread but do you all Iron and starch you ghi's before training or just put them on right out of the wash? Also, how long do you keep an old ghi? Ie., do you sew up holes and keep going? What about rips and tears?

I think gis can be a lot like a child's favorite blanket. Some guys never want to get rid of them and will patch and sew until there isn't anything left to patch and sew.
I still have my first Atama (5+ years) and while it is starting to look a little ragged it is still in decent enough shape to wear for general training (no holes or rips of any kind). The only thing that I believe has broken down on the gi is the collar which has gotten quite soft and easy to manipulate.
