anything underground haha. but if we are talking big time i would say pride... simply for the fact that you can stomp people in the face when they are down... and friggen knee when you are in north/south position... its the closest you can get to real fighting i think.

        The Ultimate Combat Experience!!!!!!!!!!!

We put on more shows than any other show on the planet. There are fights almost every week and sometimes twice a week. We're on Free TV locally and in a number of markets around the country and in a growing number of other countries.

Last Saturday I cornered one of my guys in front of a crowd that was 4,000 strong . . . no, they don't get that many at the weekly shows . . . show me a pro/am show anywhere that will get fighters in front of crowds that size AND put them on free TV.

One of our fighters has a paid sponsor from Texas (we're in Utah) and even though we're 1400 miles away the kid gets paid every time he steps in the cage because the show is on local free TV in Dallas.

Yes, I love PrideFC and I love the UFC and I really hope the IFL and StrikeForce make it. EliteXC doesn't do too much for me but I still hope they thrive in the MMA market . . . but when it comes right down to it the UCE packs more fun pound for pound than any other MMA show

We have a "new" free channel playing the IFL fight games. It's fairly interesting to fairly dull but at least I don't have to listen to that wad JOE ROGAN trying to describe every move or opportunity he sees in a fight...

He needs to get his ass in there and play some. Talk about a FEAR FACTOR??? I just want to see him choked out.

They're "both" good...in terms of the top two right now.

I think the UFC does a better job of setting up fights we want to see, and of course, is better for English speaking viewers.

On the other hand, Pride has better production...UFC starts off with gladiator dude grabbing dirt. WTF!? And yeah, better rules, at least knees on the ground should be added to the UFC.

In terms of fighters in the stable, I think they're overall pretty even, although Pride definitely puts on more talent on its typical cards, but that doesn't guarantee an "entertaining" fight.

Also, say what you will about Rogan...but next to Goldberg he comes across as an MMA encyclopedia.

Okay, I'll say he's a mouthpiece for Gracie Jiu-jitsu. Just once I'd like to hear him give credit to JUDO for those sweet NAKED CHOKES or BENT ARM BARS.

Sadly he only knows the "Brazilian" names for the techniques, eh?

              "Kimura" called it Udegarami...

That's true, but then he does train in Gracie/Brazilian JJ, so he's going to be biased/uneducated in that sense...

The people I do know that train BJJ do say he's actually pretty knowledgable/accurate in that regard at least.

And he does actually comment favorably/fairly overall. On judo takedowns, he was very favorable...but then whenever you're watching Karo toss somebody like a sack of wheat, it's hard not to get amped up.
MMA needs more people who can apply judo techniques...it looks slick.

And pardon my ignorance, but isn't most of competition judo based on scoring the takedown anyway? I know the BJJ techniques are derived from judo, but I'm just saying...

UFC is on the rise. But PRIDE is still waaay better for the fact that they allow kicks and knees to a grounded opponent, im a fan of more PRIDE fighters than i am of UFC's (GSP, AA and CC are my only favorite UFC fighters), the Pride PPV's events are more spectacular than UFC's.

I guess the one reason why i dont like the UFC as much as i should is because of how theyve sort of brainwashed the general public into thinking that any type of MMA combat or even grappling is "UFC".

That's the general public being stupid. Fans still know there are other orgs out there.
