The law of tyranny:
1. Any power that can be abused will be abused
2. Abuse always expands to fill the limits of resistance to it.
3. If people don't resist the abuses of others, they will have no one to resist the abuses of themselves, and tyranny will prevail.

hmmmm. this might be a highly subjective thing to address. curious about this as well, but also interested in exactly who made the assertion of "great success"... individual soldiers, or some department spokesperson.
still, looking foreward to an answer, if there is one (there might not be one, as circumstances may dictate "secrecy"... military stuff...).
thanks

the more and more i train in bjj, the more and more i realize how powerful it can be. it really has A LOT to offer, im not sure people even realize it. i know i didnt until i trained in it for a while. and only now im beginning to see what it really has to offer.
pulling guard is only 1 technique out of thousands. there is so much in jiu jitsu, i dont know why the guard becomes the focal point of the art in many peoples minds. people just see mma and think thats all its about. what you see in mma is only a small part of jiu jitsu. for example mma doesnt even reveal the clever and lethal clothing manipulations that are found in jiu jitsu. learning to lock up and trap people with their own clothing, strangling and suffocating them with their own shirts/collars etc...oh yes, the art is quite vast and quite powerful indeed, much more to it than just pulling guard.....
