if kimbo is training under bas, then he is going to be a SERIOUS threat to anyone he faces. in fact, he already was. i really cant wait to see kimbo become a huge star in MMA, he is going to provide us with even more good fights.
man, he does look like he is in incredible shape. not only that, he is training under one of the best martial artists alive, kimbo is going to kill fools in the ring.

What's even more interesting?
Kimbo's story: Here is a man who went to prison. Came out and found a way for himself to make a living and seems to be turning himself away from his past and cleaning himself up (excluding the Bang Bros stuff he does).
On camera and from what the forums say, he seems like a pretty good natured, laid back guy who likes nothing more than a good fight.Last edited by Tom Yum; 06-19-2007, 11:44 AM.

Originally posted by Mike BrewerI'll agree that he may be on the right track as far as getting himself straightened out, but he's still a dirtbag, and far from what I'd call an example. If he ditches the Bang Bros web stuff and really takes fighting seriously, I might revise that assessment.
Originally posted by Mike BrewerAs it stands, though, I just see a guy who takes fights with guys he knows he can beat, whose crew bitches and whines when it looks like he's coming up short, and who decided that the best way to make a living after going to jail was to show girls getting gang banged online for money. Hardly a role model to fighters or anyone else...
Again, I don't think the guy is a role model but he's making a change. I guess time will tell.
His circumstances seem to be turning for the better. He's fighting Ray Mercer soon; both guys are over 40 and Mercer will prove to be a tough opponent, having been WBO heavyweight champ in 91 and now training heavily in BJJ.Last edited by Tom Yum; 06-19-2007, 01:38 PM.

I'd be happy for me...I'd hope you'd be happy for me too.
