  • ESPN's Who's Now Contest!

ESPN's Who's Now Contest - You can nominate your favorite athletes.. I already nominated Randy Couture to be on the list. He's already at his 40's and he can still give us a good fight on UFC!

Randy should be an easy top 5 IMO. MMA fighters deserve that kinda credit. They recently did a who's the best athlete of today kinda thing on The Best Damn Sports Show and Kobe Bryant was voted number 1

I agree I think it's about time this hall-of-famer gets the credit he deserves. I also agree that some of the top MMA fighter should be considered for top athlete too.

Well this is a sad fact... MMA athletes may be great fighters and some of them are getting mainstream advertising contracts, but they have nowhere near the marketing power of some of the people on that list. Tiger Woods could single handedly break the PGA tour, the only events that get any sort of decent ratings, are the ones that he participates in. Until MMA gets much bigger than it is now no MMA fighters are going to touch the popularity and influence of a Vince Young, Michael Vick, Kobe Bryant, etc.

That's why Couture or anyone from MMA athletes should get a bunch of votes from all of us espcially from MMA fans. Let's vote to make the list more believable and not just some popularity contest!

I now realize that by voting for Pele Landi and Rambaa Somdet, I may have been throwing my vote away. Kind of like those assholes who voted for Ralph Nader... thanks alot fuckos.
