Im going with GSP as well....ive been a fan of him since his TKO days and he is one of the most well rounded fighters out there and def one of my favorites.

As for Gonzaga vs Couture....Couture has his work cut out for him.....every loss he's ever had has been by Sunmission to bigger and better Grapplers other then the Chuck Liddell fights.Gonzaga's ground game is real slick and he has a big weight advantage...not to mention his striking and takedowns are real good as well.Im going with Gonzaga all the way but i will say i like couture as well.

Rooting for Couture but it doesn't look too good for him.

        Randy Couture vs Gabriel Gonzaga
Georges St. Pierre vs Josh Koscheck
        Joe Stevenson vs Kurt Pellegrino
        Kendall Grove vs Patrick Cote
        Roger Huerta vs Alberto Crane
        Marcus Aurelio vs Clay Guida
Renato "Babalu" Sobral vs David Heath
        Antoni Hardonk vs Frank Mir
        Thales Leites vs Ryan Jensen

pretty good card. the Aurelio/Guida is big, so is Hardonk/Mir, Stevenson/Pellegrino, and Grove/Cote

Thales Leites by Judo throw then a submission

How is Couture gonna beat Gonzaga? Tackle him atleast once every round and hold him there in his gaurd do hardly any damage?

Gonzaga is gonna punish him on the feet and shuck off Coutures takedown attempts

I could see Gonzaga knocking Couture out, but i'd rather see him get an armbar.

UFC 75, which is going to be on Spike TV is looking like an even better card !!

I personally think Couture's best chance is to stay on his feet and try to outstrike Gonzaga, given that Gonzaga probably has heavier hands.

I'm surprised they're still letting Frank Mir fight, hasn't he lost just about every match since his accident?

Ummmm. Wrong. I agree, Gonzaga is tough. But Randy will certainly be able to take him down. That's not even in question! So get to the RIGHT points lol.

The striking I'd say is roughly equal with the major difference being power due to Couture being the smaller guy, maybe he doesnt wanna keep it on the feet.

Randy on top, lots of G&P, and dont count out his sub skills, though inferior, Gonzaga softened by some blows can get tapped, Randy is no joke.

And Gonzaga on top, I believe spells the end of the night for Randy. Self explanatory.

That all being said, I think Gonzaga will win. 60% chance of winning. Maybe if Couture weighed 250, or Gonzaga 220, but that is just not the case.

Couture is my fav fighter though, so I'll be rooting for him the whole time, and hoping for a victory, or even a hard fought decision loss, which would prove a whole lot.

He was looking pretty tough against Vera though. While outclassed, I'd say he's back to 85% of what he was pre-accident.

I saw the re-run of the Gonzaga v. Marerro fight tonight: I was very impressed with Gonzaga. I like Couture a lot, but I'm kind-of sort-of pulling for Gonzaga.

                  It's a BJJ thang.

As far as GSP goes, Crisse Tabarnac! He's the man!

I agree with alot of what you said....except for Couture being able to Tap Gonzaga....NEVER will he submit him with an actual technique.

I was rooting for Randy, but actually felt bad for Gonzaga. Kudos to him (and Koschek too in his fight) for staying in the fight for three rounds. They've got more heart than I would've guessed.

                          **SPOILER**

I was very impressed with Randy! He showed great control over a heavier opponent and outstruck him as well.
